Is Alcoholism a Disease? (Page 4) CoIin: Animals think they're pretty smart Shit on the ground See in the dark They're making a fool of us! - David Byrne Serabi: I see alcoholism as escapism. You percieve your reality as too harsh and enter into an alcohol-induced state. I don't think it is a 'disease' but believe the predisposition can be familial, whether it is nature or nurture. Corwin: What happened to Faruq?? It seems that fellow Wiremembers are dropping like flies lately. @ Serabi - No one denies that alcohol is a form of self-medication... I mean really... why else would anyone drink beer?? That stuff tastes like urine mixed with ear-wax. Oh, and don't ask me why I would know what that tastes like... I'd rather not talk about it. Corwin: Have you tried Alexander Kieth's Original Cider? That is a mighty fine beverage... not too sweet, and very flavorful and refreshing. Serabi: The only alcoholic beverage - Cider! Hunters Gold. Lots and lots of water and fruit juice too! LiptonCambell: Ah. My little sister drinks Somerby Cider....it was tastey, but im too manly to buy it.... Corwin: LOL. I'm enough in touch with my feminine side to admit when something is tasty... I'd take a cider over a beer any day. I just have to be careful not to touch my feminine side too much, or I end up slapping myself. (Post deleted by Illuminatist ) | Science Chat Room 2 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
