Terrible UFO sightings (Page 2)

Biker X: well if one were to believe in Aliens, why not believe in Ghost's, I believe anything can be possible, I know its not real hardcore evidence but it only makes me believe more so after watching them, I have no real accounts of having any type of experiences with UFO's or Aliens but have always had been fascinated by them since I was young, also those movies I mentioned are based on real accounts as well, its up to whoever to watch them or not, just found them very interesting

LiptonCambell: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based on real events.

So is Silence of the Lambs.

In fact, the two movies are based on the SAME real events. Wrap your head around that one- the movie 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' is based on the 'true events' that didn't happen in Texas, didn't involve a chainsaw, and didn't involve any massacres.

Hollywood is full of shit Biker.

"To promote the film, Universal Pictures created a website with fake news stories supposedly taken from real Alaska newspapers, including the Nome Nugget and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. The newspapers sued Universal, eventually reaching a settlement where Universal would remove the fake stories and pay $20,000 to the Alaska Press Club and a $2,500 contribution to a scholarship fund for the Calista Corporation.[6]"

"After a string of native disappearances in Nome,[7] the FBI conducted an investigation in 2005[8] finding alcohol and harsh climate to blame.[7] Residents of Nome have expressed concern that the movie attempts to capitalize on the tragedies by creating a fictitious story about alien abductions and a fictitious doctor.[9]"

"According to promotional materials from Universal, the film is framed around a psychologist named Abigail Tyler who interviewed traumatized patients in Nome. However Alaska state licensing examiner Jan Mays says she can't find records of an Abigail Tyler ever being licensed in any profession in Alaska. Ron Adler, CEO and director of the Alaska Psychiatric Institute and Denise Dillard, president of the Alaska Psychological Association say they've never heard of Abigail Tyler. Web sites for an "Alaska Psychiatry Journal" and "Alaska News Archive" containing references to Tyler were created by the film's producers, but were outed as hoaxes when it was discovered they were registered a month before the film's release and the purported author of one of the archived news articles stated she had never written it."

"The movie's hoaxed interviews have angered the families of real missing persons in and around Nome, Alaska, for trivializing their loss. Melanie Edwards, Vice President of Kawerak Inc. (an organization representing tribal peoples in Alaska), described the movie as "insensitive to family members of people who have gone missing in Nome over the years". Universal has refused to discuss the movie with that organization or with local journalists."

Again, wrap your head around that one- the doctor in The Fourth Kind NEVER EXISTED. The abductees NEVER EXISTED. It was a hoax made by the film company to get people to buy tickets and create sensationalism. The film company even spread fake new stories as if they were real

And yet, they claim it's "based on a true story"

Findmysoul: It's like a court room scenario where the defense attorney does a cross examination and says.. "is X possible?" Of course the answer is "anything is possible given the right circumstances." Yet, I have yet to see with any logical or factual truth that the circumstances exist. At best one can say, there is a small probability that the circumstance could exist. But statistically very small probability. if that's good enough for some to believe in the existence more power to them.
