Fascinating New Insights about Mars (Page 3)

lori100: They are not magical powers.....The govt remote trainers were surprised to learn everyone is psychic and can develop their abilities, and that everyone can learn to remote view any event, person, place , thing in the past, present, or future.....it just takes practice, like developing a muscle....some have more natural ability than others.....(all time is simultaneous on different levels of consciousness) .

Seriously Lori... you can't keep a straight face when you write this stuff, can you?

lori100: Everything in govt is compartmentalized...on a need to know basis.....most would not know the remote viewers worked there or still do.....and they don't want the public to know much of the progress made in remote viewing or other areas.....they use it for their own purposes....the remote viewers went public because they wanted these abilities used to benefit all people, not just used for war or spying purposes....

lori100: There are many books out on developing your psychic abilities....you can start by little things like trying to guess who is calling when the phone rings, what day a package might be delivered, who is at the door,.......your accuracy should increase with practice........personally I have found the less I watch t.v., or am on the computer...cluttering my mind, the stronger my senses develop, ....the mind needs to be clear to get images and impressions...

Corwin: And it certainly isn't just a bunch of BS to sell more books to nutters and conspiracy theorists.

The fact that they see million-year-old pyramids on Mars is proof that they're full of BS... the highest resolution cameras in Mars orbit clearly show a complete absence of pyramids.

lori100: Yes, many psychics work for companies, the police department.....the guy in the ^^ video stated he found oil, gas and minerals easily for companies, missing people.....

Corwin: So how come none of these guys has come forward to collect that million dollar James Randi prize for anybody who can demonstrate the existence of psychic ability under proper scientific analysis? Do they just not want the million dollars?

Or is it because psychic ability DOESN'T EXIST?
----------

And isn't this just so typical of the Science Forums.... we start off with a legitimate discussion on the latest findings from the Mars missions, and before you know it the topic is space-aliens and the paranormal.

lori100: Psychic John Edwards and others have said they used their abilities in the past for gambling.....sometimes , and lost their abilities soon after.....it seems if they are used for greed purposes they won't work...

Corwin: No.... it has not. It is somewhat difficult to prove the existence of something that doesn't exist.

lori100: Did anyone watch the video?? In the middle of it---- , The Stargate archives ---89,000 pages---can be bought from the CIA for $150.............it also stated the Monroe Institute was able to replicate the results....several viewers got the same images from the same target.....You can contact the Monroe Institute for their records........and what is considered paranormal now will be common knowledge in the near future......

Corwin: Nobody cares, Lori.

And just because a handful of nutters get together and decide to call themselves an "institute" does not somehow make them credible.

I could create my own Corvin Institute that claims that my farts time-travel into the future, and I could also make the claim that I can replicate the results. Does that make it true?

And yeah... these alleged "CIA stargate archives" can be BOUGHT from the Remote Viewing Instruction Services Inc.... but isn't it odd that you can't find anything about it if you do a search with the actual CIA....
... I'm sure it isn't a bunch of BS to sell crap to gullible people....

Corwin: So if psychics try to make money gambling they lose their abilities? How convenient.

Oh....have I mentioned that I have the ability to fly? But if I use this power for the purposes of transportation I lose my abilities. So I have to settle for walking from place to place on my feet and just being content with the knowledge that I COULD fly if I wanted to.

ghostgeek: The Stargate Project was claimed to have been terminated in 1995 following an independent review which concluded:

"The foregoing observations provide a compelling argument against continuation of the program within the intelligence community. Even though a statistically significant effect has been observed in the laboratory, it remains unclear whether the existence of a paranormal phenomenon, remote viewing, has been demonstrated. The laboratory studies do not provide evidence regarding the origins or nature of the phenomenon, assuming it exists, nor do they address an important methodological issue of inter-judge reliability.

Further, even if it could be demonstrated unequivocally that a paranormal phenomenon occurs under the conditions present in the laboratory paradigm, these conditions have limited applicability and utility for intelligence gathering operations. For example, the nature of the remote viewing targets are vastly dissimilar, as are the specific tasks required of the remote viewers. Most importantly, the information provided by remote viewing is vague and ambiguous, making it difficult, if not impossible, for the technique to yield information of sufficient quality and accuracy of information for actionable intelligence. Thus, we conclude that continued use of remote viewing in intelligence gathering operations is not warranted."

Corwin: @ Lori -- That's the Stanford Research Institute, a bunch of nutters who do paranormal stuff.... that has NOTHING to do with Stanford University.

Lori, you really should read Carl Sagan's book "The Demon-Haunted World: Science a Candle in the Dark".

I'm reminded of an excerpt about the fire-breathing dragon that lives in his garage.
http://www.users.qwest.net/~jcosta3/article_dragon.htm

Actually, the whole paranormal thing also kind of reminds me of the singing frog in Warner Bros. cartoons..... only sings when nobody is looking.
Just like how psychics are unable to demonstrate their abilities when scientists are watching.

' Remote Viewing ' does exist. Its not that surprising. Its just like everything else those that can do and those that can't write books about it. And the CTs write books about it that agree with everything else they say.

Machines without lens can be made that remote view, its not a big deal.
