You can cherry pick from someone's writing to claim that they held a particular belief, but it's more telling that evolution forms the very basis of modern biology, and its understanding is what has lead medicine to develop such successful treatments for many ailments; especially cancer.

Geoff: No. That's not how it happened. Gradual development of wings, where each generation increment had an increasingly beneficial effect to the odds of the individual surviving to successfully breed is how wings evolved. Not because they needed them.

They just happened to start with a body which was appropriate for that.

Geoff: Evolution is about the diversity of life on this planet and how it came about from simpler origins.

Abiogenesis is a hypothesis of how life started on this planet in the first place. While we don't KNOW how it actually happened, there's a fair few good ideas which are entirely plausible.

That this has to be explained to you again demonstrates something. Either your utter refusal to get anything into your fat head, or the fact that you're too stupid to actually understand the science. Either way, I consider whatever it is you have to be a mental disorder.

One could not recover the DNA of a dinosaur from a mosquito trapped in amber. One could, with technology not too far advanced from what we have now, successfully get something that was very much like a dinosaur from the common chicken.

I did not say that they "needed" wings, and if I used that word it was for simplicity. There is no teleology in evolution. Adaptation happens because at each stage there is a sufficient benefit to the individual to swing the balance of the population.
