Evolution is a well founded theory, yet many people resist the idea.
Angry Beaver: Ask Blackshoes, he knows "the truth" and therefore is so much smarter than we plebs.... We could all learn from his unfailing belief in his rightness and our brainwashing
Angry Beaver: Except that his "reliable truth references which come from creationistscience sites is described thus in wikipedia:
"The overwhelming consensus of the scientific community is that creation science fails to produce scientific hypotheses, and courts have ruled that it is a religious, not a scientific, view. It fails to qualify as a science because it lacks empirical support, supplies no tentative hypotheses, and resolves to describe natural history in terms of scientifically untestable supernatural causes. Creation science is a pseudoscientific attempt to map the Bible into scientific facts. It is viewed by professional biologists as unscholarly, and even as a dishonest and misguided sham, with extremely harmful educational consequences."
AretoNyx: There is well founded info earth is not flat, vaccines do not cause autism, and many other things. However some still try to censorship in schools science , and this includes facts on evolution.
History reconstruction conspiracies are not any better than anti science conspiracies.
AretoNyx: Seems it turns into a leftist verses rightist and cult verses nontheist nonsense rather than people just using the facts. Sigh
Fog Swept Glade: Fact is until religionists stop hampering fact with lies, people have to read irrelevant topics.
zeffur: The fact is evolution is an intellectual fraud that is based on pseudo-science--not definitive science. If you dig deep enough you will find many facts that disprove evolution.
Read this forum for more details as to the scientific evidence that shows evolution is invalid. Topic: Science

Zanjan: Evolution is NOT a theory or an idea. If it were, it couldn't be proven in that stage. Einstein said of his theories - "they must be tested" before we can accept them as the reality. Then again, he was talking about math, a discipline that works up to a certain degree but leaves a small window open to allow for a new math should different conditions occur.
Proven science will always state "X "is 99.9 % true.
For example, we have solid evidence water boils at 100 C. However, this has been tested and found not to be always true - there's quite a range of temperatures. The boiling point is affected by elevation, air pressure, the type of vessel it's boiled in, the salinity of the water, etc.
So we have these facts - the science works. What if there were different conditions we never anticipated? Could these numbers change on another planet? You get the idea.
The evidence for evolution on earth is overwhelming. To establish the reality, new tools came into hand where that was "tested" and identified as being a different process than "adaption of species". Both kinds of development are true. Thus, we've moved on to testing the theories of the sources of life on earth.
It's really odd how people have missed this but, in modern times, religion and science have been reconciled - Evolution IS Creationism.

Zanjan: Undoubtedly, there will always be those who aren't up to speed on these tests; beyond ignorance, there is gullibility and those who have a need to force evidence to fit what they want to believe. In the end, many unwittingly undermined the very proof they were trying to establish.
Some people just can't be educated - we shouldn't be bothered by them, they don't contribute to knowledge or civilization.

arnym: "send in the clowns"
.... 'Don't bother; they're here.'
It's hard to see any value in posts where the author simply wastes time in criticism of imagined/invented opponents instead of rationally discussing the subject of the thread.
Fog Swept Glade: Looks a bit generic. It‘s a sad day when protest is the only reason to communicate at all.
zeffur: Perhaps you might elucidate the verifiable evidence that definitively shows evolution isn't just pure subjective rubbish.
zeffur: The last poster above my message is the logical assumption is it not?
But, hey--feel free to do so, if you wish.
Fog Swept Glade: Arnym, I stated that people who disagree with the topic should go to the religion forum. So, no, that isn‘t true. Last poster isn‘t always true.
zeffur: Many people don't believe the false propositions that are offered by 'evolutionists' or their supporters. It's not resistance as much as it is not convinced that anything they say has any verifiable merit.
zeffur: Promise me you'll grow a clue. It's so basic that any simpleton should be able to understand what I wrote.
It's obvious that what I wrote must have applied to the previous poster (i.e. FSG) as it wasn't directed at anyone else.
My next post was obviously direct to you as it was a response to your post. How on earth you can't comprehend such simple things is beyond reasonable.

arnym: Fog Swept Glade: "Arnym, I stated that people who disagree with the topic should go to the religion forum"
No you didn't, FSG. You said "Wireclub has a religion forum. "
I already knew that.
