New Space exploration and launch of spacecraft

refurbwoodart: Does anyone believe in the theory of new space exploration being connected to the Star Trek series?

refurbwoodart: Its a theory of mine that we are finally beginning the basis of space exploration with the new Spacex rocket. Elon Musk is creating a new and real possible path to start a real generational revolutionary change in human advancement. People laughed when Trump announced the forming of the new space force but it is mimicking the path lead by the show decades ago. If your a Star Trek fan your aware that the emblem used for the new formed military is simply a Star Trek comm badge copy first seen on James Tiberius Kirks chest in the original series, however it was not on the chest of Johnathan Archer in the series Enterprise. Comments?.

kittybobo34: Some may laugh but I think Star Trek has presented an ideal to strive for. The next thing we should be doing is building a space station in Geo sync orbit that rotates to there is simulated gravity. We need to find out if that works to counter the damage that is done in long term weightlessness.

refurbwoodart: They have been testing how to do that but haven't gotten it down yet. There is actually a reason why the first shuttle was named enterprise. Its what three flagships on Star trek are naned Enterprise thats where the first ship in space exploration comes along thats the name for the first of its type is usually named.

kittybobo34: The next project after a rotating space station is a base on the moon with a linear accelerator, so they can toss rocks or packages out into space. Aside from a needed way to handle rare ores, it could also be used to knock threatening asteroids out of the way.

refurbwoodart: Well my understanding is its Chinas idea that an elevator is the best way to reach orbit and then take a shuttle to the space station for larger ships. I'm not sure thats such a good idea with storms the way they are now. Wow Kitty I never knew you were a trekker. Are you a trekker ir a trekie hun. IBM have always thought your intelligent and attractive even though we have different political beliefs. But you always offered just your opinion and never tried to just dissagree for the sake if not agreeing. I thought that was always kind and understanding of you.

kittybobo34: Yeah I guess I am opinionated, but I like to think that I can entertain a reasoned argument from someone with a different opinion.
Yes always have been a trekker. Regarding the space elevator, great idea, but its waiting for the right materials. The weight / stress issues are too great for the materials we have today.

refurbwoodart: Gotta have windows can't wait till we get transparent aluminum, hahaha. Well Kitty tell me what you think about the series enterprise, with Scott Backula and Jolene Blalock. I wish they had made more of that series to be honest its one of my favorites. It has that old new combination. Older than the original yet the xf are years beyond any other. I love that they kept it pre original. No food replicators',no sliding doors,no com badges, however the communicators are smaller and the tricorders are basically a cell phone but you know the idea of going back rather than forward was an excellent idea.

kittybobo34: I really liked the Babylon 5 series too. I totally agree,,, the Enterprise series with Backula was really good. You would think the TV execs would realize by now that their sampling is totally in error. They closed the series, while a huge percentage of Americans were following it.

refurbwoodart: Ok I know this isn't really a question for you however I do have to ask. There are a vast amount of people who think Jerri Ryan as 7of 9 is the hottest woman on all star trek series. In my opinion and I'm talking simply on the physical level here not character or person but looks and physique but I think Jolene Blalock as Tpal is hottest. Would you care to address that one?

refurbwoodart: When it comes to character and attractiveness in character and their parts in a series and the looks and physique I think they are both equal. But I guess its just more my taste because I'm very into petite women that I'm physically more attracted to Jolene. But you can't deny that Jeri Ryan has a very impressive physique.

refurbwoodart: I guess that's why I have so much trouble finding a woman that can become involved with. My attraction to petite women and a certain characteristic of my own physique that makes it so hard to find the type woman in most into and the type guy they like aren't easily aligned.

kittybobo34: Jerri Ryan, often complained about getting into those outfits, because they squeased her into shape so to speak. I agree about Jolene as much cuter. Seems like allot of men are into the petite woman vs the viking variety. If you are a small guy I can doubly see the attraction. They say we tend to find our types very early in life, some member of the opposite sex that intrigued you at an early age. I tended to find attractive guys that were like my brother.

refurbwoodart: Well Kitty thats my problem in not a smaller guy I'm the other direction and its intimidating to petite women at times. I'm slim and only 5'8" tall so I'm a little short. But when it comes to that particular area in a little more than average in both ways. So that sometimes makes petite women a little reluctant.

kittybobo34: LOL ok, that's a bit more than I needed to know

Back to Star Trek,, Given that the transporter totally destroys the original, and recreates it with new molecules at the other end.... seems to me that would be the same as suicide

refurbwoodart: I wasn't aware it was ion drive but they have yet to create a bubble that protects biological beings to be aboard that doesn't distort its signature. Thats been the problem the whole time trying to successfully create a space where carbon based beings can exist in the said vessel.

kittybobo34: There is allot of experimenting that has to be done with regard to near speed of light issues. We really do not know how it will affect time, or if their is some kind of radiation issues , ect. Quite likely something pushed beyond the speed of light will simply vanish to our eyes. We have never seen an object traveling faster than light.
