The13th: Jesus Loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so,
Isaac Newton says no no,
Laws of Motion is The Truth.

The13th: s=ut+0.5att. OR s=ut+0.5gtt. Just some simple formula you did in high school. If you drop an apple from a tall building, this formula will tell you how long before it hit the ground.

Now for something as simple as this, why would the English buried this Greatest of Man in Westminster? Everyone understand this formula, if Isaac didnt discover this, I am sure one of us will. Its not hard, find a tall building and just drop apple and measure

At a height of h1 it takes t1 seconds to hit the ground
At a height of h2 it takes t2 seconds to hit the ground
At a height of h3 it takes t3 seconds to hit the ground
At a height of h4 it takes t4 seconds to hit the ground

Then even a decent high school student can eventually workout that it is proportional to time square, and figured out the value of g. So what is the big deal?

The big deal is this, while many people could have discovered the formula, discover the g, they almost certainly stop at the formula and go no further. They will all get excited, I discover the law of apple motion or stone motion. Sir Isaac Newton took one giant step forward, and told us the unthinkable, and other than this Greatest of Man, no other men will likely ever reach this same conclusion: that the movement of the billions and billions of stars in the universe, every single one of them bare none, is exactly govern by The Force described in this simple formula. And no other formula.

Not even Bible. No way. Especially NOT Bible.

Thus ended Christianity.

namenotrick: Why would Jesus tell the Israelites about gravity at a time when the scientific method was not valued like it is today, it wouldn't of had any value to the Israelites and in the following decades to the rest of the known world. Isaac Newton was devoutly Christian and would praise God in his publications

The13th: Sure, we can't tell them Jews of that time about gravity, nuclear structure, quantum physics, big bang etc etc. But you dont go make up some weird story like Adam and Eve in Garden of Eden and a snake ask them to eat the apple, just because they would understand those thing.

The whole story is about, be afraid of authority. Do what we said. Else you get kick out. Just the way sinister people manipulate and control other people.

What Isaac did is, instead of jumping up and down telling people how wrong the church is, he tell people a simple, universal truth. WE, will then understand the church lie to us.

namenotrick: The creation account was written at a time when people wrote stories of legend, dry historical accounts based on fact simply didn't exist as a concept yet. The message of the bible is of forgiveness and salvation were God himself chooses to take the punishment for our sins. Isaac Newton praised God in his publication on gravity, faith and science aren't inherently conflicting

The13th: I think Sir Isaac Newton would have been the true Son of God, The Choosen One if there ever was one, and if there was ever a God, because the greatest secret of this Universe is reveal to Him.

Since Isaac Newton, many more secrets of the Universe has been revealed to many more people: James Clarke Maxwell, Michael Faraday, JJ THompson, Max Planck, Rutherford, Weiner Hesienberg. But Isaac shone the first piercing ray into The Darkness, that makes all the other possible. They are all sons of God if there ever was a God.

One day, someone very special will come alone, and God will reveal to him how life and universe truly begins. Then we can tear off the Genesis section of the old testament.

youarewell2: Oh, he had Genesis in mind. He was a Christian as a child. He never grew out of his belief of God. He was a scientist that believed that God existed. As most early scientist did.

namenotrick: Genesis isn't meant to be interpreted as an explanation of the mechanics of how the universe was made. Again, Isaac Newton understood this and always praised God in his publications

The13th: During those time it seems you have to pretend that you are a Christian to not be seen as a heretic.

In 1667, Newton became a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge,[11] making necessary his commitment to taking Holy Orders within seven years of completing his MA, which he did the following year. He was also required to take a vow of celibacy and recognize the Thirty-Nine Articles of the Church of England.[12] Newton considered ceasing his studies prior to completion to avoid the ordination made necessary by law of King Charles II

He might have truly believed in A God, but not necessary a Christian God. Or those make believes stuffs in Genesis. Or whatever John 3:16 said.

When Newton published Principal Mathematica, you can feel that in the deep dark universe, someone, something turned and look at planet Earth for quiet sometime, then perhaps utter "He found our secrets".

BelgianStrider: Newton was also an alchemist! Not a "chemist"

I have seen dt brandishing a bible in front of a church: is everybody convinced he is a devote christian? No not at all, I am not !!!!

Newton was probably also his life dear, he knew if he ever made known he was a non-believer, despite his "authority" the stake will have been ready!

Till now telepathy has not been validated with evidence as credible, I don't see telepathy in time will ever be validated as credible!

So claiming with absolute certainty Newton was a devote christian, is quite premature!
