What LIFE means to you? Jassypotpot: Life purpose statements are steps of faith in each area of your life in which you feel God nudging you to either BE (character development) or DO (SHAPE deployment), and you know you could not fulfill them without Him. Think of these statements as opportunities to become all that God has made you to be so that you can bless Him with your life. There are four main areas of your life for which you will develop life statements: personal, spiritual, vocational, relational. Personal Life--This is the area of self; Character, Core Values, Strengths, Weaknesses, Hobbies, Health, Rest, Diet, etc. Spiritual Life--This is the area of your faith; Service, Stewardship, Prayer, Evangelism, Worship, and Life Purpose. Vocational Life -- This is the area of your career/work/specialties; From Marketplace member to Homemaker. Relational Life -- This is the area of fellowship; Friends, Family, Parenting, Marriage, Dating, Community. You may find the following samples helpful in thinking about your life and the things you feel God is nudging to to BE and DO for His glory. Personal Life I feel God nudging me to reorganize my priorities in my life so in a year from today I will have at least 10 hours a week to invest in God's Kingdom. I feel God nudging me to overcome a dysfunctional habit that is robbing me of the future He has for me. I feel God nudging me to be an honest person and stop lying, cheating, and stealing. Spiritual Life I feel God nudging me to share my faith with my neighbors. I feel God nudging me to fall deeper in love with who God has made me to be, my SHAPE, so He can replace my current level of frustration with His fulfillment. I feel God nudging me to develop a passionate prayer life. Vocational Life I feel God nudging me to find a fulfilling vocation that will express who God has make me to be at least 80% of the time. I feel God nudging me to help my employees develop servant hearts. I feel God nudging me to develop a transitional plan to leave my current career and use my SHAPE in a more fulfilling one. Relational Life I feel God nudging me to mend my broken relationship with my father. I feel God nudging me to spend quality time with each of my children...1 hour a week of 1-on-1 time. I feel God nudging me to meet the needs of my spouse unselfishly.  cartagena: Not much to talk about, the story goes as life goes. Only pieces of life come at a time and we'll figure the whole picture at the very end of our day. So, let's just drop the subject.  gustoqosumayah: life should be fill with your whole being were not perfect so we do dumb things, foolishness but i love to be unperfect i love my life to be unperfect part of everything to live is not only the good ones there wouldnt be positve if negativity goes along  techno_hedonist: Life is meaningless, or to put it in a more positive light, life is what you make of it. For me life is about striving for something better and every time you achieve something you set the next bar a little higher. The end result is you end up setting goals for yourself that you won't be able to reach but the fun is in the trying. PTBO52: Life to me is a series of steps you take. What bothered me when I was younger isn't so important now. Some time sadness, frustration or desparation but other hapiness, satisfaction and joy. I'm still grappling with it. But i am a figther. But it wonders me that, it's so few people who are not thinking at all how much the (positive negative surroundings) for example in your own family, the political situation, different religions which just want to press you to live, think and pretend, in a certain way, and at least all the criminals who are all the time making many crimes. They do not kill always at once, but their strongest intention is to do it on or in other way. Peoples own families can be the worse enemies ever, and it's the most terrible situation, because they are never leaving you, not even when you have made it clear, that you wannot have anything to do with them. They are spreading lies of you just to destroy your life, this is made in purpose wide in a manipulative criminell way, but even this can be protected,when they first have taken from you in this way everything.. I mean the material etc... So there is a case when you are very helpless to create anything new, because when a family is hating, they really fear most that it could b revealed. There was your life? and you couldn't do anything to change any of the crazy situations and circumstances, what only a real genuine hatred build up against you, and this from so called "closest most important people just for you", because you were one who never was meant to exist.  maybe1: Life is presented as a precious gift by God while you're born.We should cherish it. Regarding living,i think the quality of living depends on how much favors and cares you have put in your life.  8-Track: life rocks! I am not rich, only average looking, and can't seem to stay in shape like I used to, however I'm not dead. But when life gets crazy it up and screws you for no good reason. So watch out! Broken21Wings: I hated my life since i was a kid, still feel the same way, one of these days im gonna let god into my heart, but i dont think i can do that right now, got alot of hatred in my heart...  numba1chief: I believe that everything in life happens for a reason. Not just any reason, but a good reason. I try not to let the pressures of life get me down, because i believe that something good will come of it. If you can see something negative in your future... and there is no way around it... you just have to learn to accept it and believe that this negative thing... whatever it may be... will pass in time, and you will become a better person for it.
