busybuster64: Yes, it does.

I have always been somewhat of a loner. But I emphasize the word, "somewhat." For I have always sought what I could do for others, not worrying about myself. And that has saved me from ever being totally alone.

There are many people in this life who are alone and do not know it. They isolate themselves by their immediate families and many other ways. But the secret to having the choice of when we are to be alone and when not, is to forget our fears and do good for others just for the sake of being a tiny part of making their life better, not expecting anything in return, not even a thank you.

Having done that we end up finding that even if the whole world seems to have turned against us, there are some who willingly yet stand by us. We end up finding that there really were those who do appreciate us.

It is never too late to start doing that. Not until after we have taken our last breath.

But, be realistic. Sometimes those you seek to help will hurt you. They are victims of this life, too.

Kathy__: I'm not literally alone but many times I feel like I am. I have panic attacks and depression and because its' not something you can fix with a band-aid, many don't seem to accept it as a real illness and that's hard for me. I am 49 yrs old and still not married or dating. Idk if I will ever find that someone who will accept me for me and be willing to grow old with me.
