Fasting PhoenixCode: Have you ever tried fasting? I'm on a 36 hour as we speak with no food and no calories. Will stop when I get to tonight and will be 48 hours. It's hard to to start with but it gets easier. Starting to feel the benefits now 👍 Geek_in_sneaks: Intermittent fasting has lots of health benefits. It helps get your appetite under control so you don't over eat. It helps reset your cycles of blood sugar spikes and insulin levels. It helps your body break "insulin resistance." Of course, it works best when you eat sensibly during your window to eat, meaning you don't eat junk. I need to get back into it myself. Doing a 16 hour fast was quite a challenge. 10 hours was easy, 12 hours was a challenge; 14 hours was a struggle. However I did notice that I was not binge eating throughout the day and also was able to sleep better and focus more. Before trying intermittent fasting yourself, be sure to research it. There are plenty of online articles about it, as well as helpful videos that explain how it works. | Self-Improvement Chat Room Similar Conversations |
