This is the sort of thing that drives a non-computer-savvy guy like me totally insane (Page 2)

Aura
Aura: For Dills:
open firefox and click on the orange button in the upper left corner that says 'firefox'.
There's a puzzle piece with add-ons written next to it, click that. Next, click on 'plugins' there you will see what the version is of flash you are using. Not really sure if it shows realplayer too, but it should. There's a handy "check if your plugins are up to date" link that basically does all the work for you to upgrade. To downgrade you will need to go to the page of the plugin and look under the 'downloads' to get an older version.

xox G xox: Took me an hour but i fixed both laptops.

After doing what Coffee suggested and reading all the comments i could find regarding the issue.

Uninstalled all the outdated Java, Adobe Flash and shockwave player and RealPlayer then installed all the new update versions.

All fixed and playing well, plus i cleaned it out, scanned bit of a tidy up so working at speed

Karma: Sorry Lori, that was me. It's not that I am monitoring you, it's just that I am observing all the things you do and making notes.

Aura
Aura: Not sure lori, if it is, it's a pretty sloppy tool. I had to install one once on a computer that also was a register, because the owner thought one of the sale girls was stealing and telling her friends when to pick up the goods/cash via skype. Once it was done, you didn't really notice anything wrong on the machine. (and you shouldn't because that would tip the victim off).
It could be something really simple though, if you are using a wireless keyboard, when was the last time you put in fresh batteries?
