Where have you traveled? Metaphorguy: Which countries or areas have you been to? Did you take photos? Did you enjoy? Ever been to a location that spoke a different language than you? Captain Canada: Portugal,Spain ,Cuba,Italy,Germany Morocco France Several states in the USA but that would be English speaking nation (Edited by Captain Canada) KitCat10: I have been in Italy, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Hungary, Greece, China, Tanzania, U.K., USA, Canada, Austria, Spain, Denmark and Australia.. at least in those. All of those countries speak different language than I do. but it is ok, I speak 5 different languages so it is ok. My favorites are Australia and Italy. Captain Canada: Maybe one day I will visit your country KitCat hear Finland is beautiful but China and Russia in future plans 1st (Edited by Captain Canada) KitCat10: Captain Canada, we are next door neighbours with Russia so you might want to pop in during the same trip! Metaphorguy: Kitcat, I've been to several countries that were known as something different centuries ago, but I don't need to spend a fortune to go to countries and learn about their culture when I can just e-rent some movies about them or watch them on jewtube.com. Unfortunately, geology has ruined the landmasses for me. Every part of the world a mixing prism of different languages and peoples. But what is interesting is different planets. Why all this hum-drum about living on Mars? Why not live on the sun. Captain Canada: Java sitting your ass on a couch and watch a e-rent a movie about some country isn't the same experience since your at it maybe e-rent a meal,e-rent the aromas of the locals cooking Java dude first you should travel your own planet, get to know other languages etc, than think about other planets Moron KitCat10: Of course you can learn about other countries from internet or watch documentaries. BUT you can not feel the athmosphere nor can you smell the aromas or the temperatures nor can you taste the local foods! I also enjoy of meeting the the people living in another country. For me travelling is not facts or statistics it is always and adventure and a new experience. But we all are different. If you want to sit on your couch and watch tv, by all means do it. That is not my way. If you do not want to travel, why did you start this converstation in first place? Captain Canada: Java your a fart in a wind storm dude, your planning to reveal where you traveled next couple of day?? Must be some fucking top secret E-Rent movie Your starting to make me ![]() I am really totally positive now that your the one your momma should had swallowed Metaphorguy: Well some people consider the continents to be broken apart from a giant supercontinent of one many thousands of years ago. Of course telling everyone you've been to only one continent can get boring. Meowgician: I have been to Indonesia, Singapore, Italy, Switzerland (for a day). In Australia I have been to Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and all along the coast of Victoria. I live in Western Australia and seen quite a bit of the south west of the state too. My favourite place is Singapore I have been there twice it is amazing. I am wanting to go to US this year. Metaphorguy: It costs probably 10 grand or more to go to the largest continents on the planet combined- Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia. Today's economy that will take 3 years to pay that back at too much money per month. You can just rent or buy a book at the library with photos from the most historical spots all over the world, or in last chance of desperation photoshop your photo next to the world heritage spots and landmarks. If you can't afford photoshop or ur local college rejected you (ie you're in jail) u can still use Microsoft Paint. Then you will have a decent enough credit score to get a used car at least 5 years old rather than forced to use public transit. Listen, it's pretty cool to see these spots, but to really appreciate them you gotta read the books or documentaries on their meaning since it's typically temples and stuff, or long complicated histories of warfare and religion. It's in different languages so you either gotta try ur best to understand or read a translation. These travel packages are usually 1 spot per 10 days or so. U get to spend maybe an hour or so at the museum, or temple or whatever then do something else. I guarantee u can find a 10-disk documentary on any country on the planet (at least the size of Germany or Spain those Asian islands are too small to count) and u will know more about the place than half the locals there. (Edited by Metaphorguy) KitCat10: last fall, I was going to go to Singapore, but the flights were cancelled. so I ended up in Dubai! it was and adventurous trip. Lots of fun and I enjoyed it !
