I want to go to The North Pole.

GeraldtheGnome: What way would you go to it if you could and what way do you think I should go to it ? I did read about an Ice Shelf Base Camp of the Russians that is near it, that has me interested.

al0eb: You have to travel going to Svalbard Islands --- Airport Longyearbyen. It is a Norwegian territory. There is a lot of good trips and expeditions that is offered in the island but you might want to book them before you go.

GeraldtheGnome: Yes the temporary Base Camp near it can be approached by flying from Russia to get there, by mainland Russia then via one of its islands to get there or by mainland Norway then over to the overseas territory (The Svalbard’s) to get there. I do think I will go via Norway if I go there. Yes, I will book whatever I can prior to when I get near any of them.

al0eb: There is a direct flight to Svalbard from Oslo. It is better to go via Oslo.

GeraldtheGnome: I think that a direct flight anywhere from mainland Norway to there is good enough.
