Want to be a mod? Now accepting applications! calybonos: I'm not good at understanding dubious rules and wire mathematics Apparently Rod also requires that you must count to 8 without using the number 6 ModDilly: I have checked Rod's requirements for making an application and...... 1. You must have no adult content on your profile/blog. As a Mod I feel that this is a guide and to not get ones panties in a knot over trivial images. I feel sort porn is totally acceptable 2. You must agree that all your messages will be recorded at all times - it is bye bye privacy. As a Mod Id be an open book 3. You must agree to behave at all times - that means never curse and never get into fights. As a Mod Id do my utmost best to refrain my potty mouth but there will be times when a harsh work or two will be required and Fights...please...me ...never 4. You must agree to always be nice to the newcomers, even when they ask silly questions. As a Mod Id welcome newbies with open arms and always direct them in the right direction 5. You must agree to not protect your friends - if they misbehave you must take action! As a Mod Id happily slap a mate up side the head when said member would try n cross that line 6. SINCE CANADIANS CANT COUNT ILL ADD A 6th: As a Mod Id have the decency to COMMUNICATE with a unruly member B4 taking drastic BANNING action so they fully understand why they are getting a Wire World TIME OUT. Be it a Week, Month or Life 7. You must agree to never act on personal reasons - you should only ever kick spammers and bullies. As a Mod access the situation and respond accordingly 8. Being a mod is not a job, you must still have fun while on Wireclub. As a Wire Mod I fully understand that it is not a job as there is no payment, Id see this as an extension to my everyday activities here in Wire World. ModDilly: "Hi, I'm DillyBear and I would like to apply to become a moderator. I have heaps of prior experience as a moderator, I'm a mum of 5 boys and I'm constantly handling disputes , with a 100% success rate I love to help people as long as they are not whinging about crap and can be depended on in times it's required. I have read the Terms of Service so I am fully aware of the rules, and can be counted on to make sure everyone is following them, including myself I have lots of patience, as you all are fully aware of (think this is account 20 by now) Also I know longer suffer from PMS but in saying that Menopause is creeping up fast sooooo there may be heightened emotional situations at times but even in times when most people might get upset, I would remain calm and try my best to resolve any situation that needed it so everyone is taken care of. Regards <º)><.•´¯`•.Сll¥ßêåR¸.•´¯`•.¸><((((º> Tink: Honestly, I think Dilly would be a great Mod. She is only doing this (repeat profile) because no one will answer her why she was banned. If someone would tell her why she was banned perhaps the profiles would stop. She isn't a bad person, she does have a bee in her bonnet but you all keep it there. Just tell her why she was banned. xanderiley: Or maybe she could stop the childish behavior. Oh, right...sorry, forgot where I was logged into. Naturally, she should be rewarded for..."acting out", I guess, because that really shows her character in a positive light, and Wire will no doubt want other people to engage in similar behavior when something goes against them, because it gets positive results. calybonos: Yeah right, asking numerous times for a simple explaination for being banned without a response was being childish? Now it may be true that one option would be to just be browbeaten into just being a good little girl and keeping her mouth shut, and accepting the fact that no answer or explaination will be forthcoming.I for one find it laughable at the amount of attention and diligence afforded to keeping her banned.I guess a simple explanation to her is more trouble and time consuming......unless a valid reason does not exist afterall, and it is now a matter of spite and childishness on wireclubs part to try (in vane) to teach this upstart (with the audacity to question her banning)that she just has to go away without a reason given. Such an unnecessary and avoidable situation that seems to boil down to a contest of will and pride....what a questionable way to run a member dependent business MegglePaws: I'd like to be a mod because.... lmao... Don't get freaked out... I'm not reapplying.. I'm not so much mod-material as the rebellious antichrist so I'd make a craptastic mod. I rekon perhaps it's a case of 'if you can't beat em, join em'. So why not make Dily a mod? Would preserve energy having to ban her profiles in their multiples. I'm just sayin... ModDilly4: Still haven't heard back on my application...is it still under consideration If you need any further information or have any questions please don't hesitate to email me on gofishabcd@live.com.......... Gummymafia: UM HI I REALLY WANNA BECOME A MODER BECUZ I SEE PPL STARTING STUFF ALL THE TIME N I CAN NEVER DO ANYTHING BOUT PLZ LET ME BECOME ONE..PLZ calybonos: OH! OH! ME TOO!...PICK ME TOO! I have revenge issues and want to get back at the world too! ....and besides,I can no longer fit into my spiderman jammies ღDiLLyღ: Here it is...found it I really think my application needs reviewing Think its about time the current Mods all had a time out. This type of Mod volunteering should be limited in the time given to a member. i_only_drink_water: I think Billy should be a moderator! (Not fzw#y@ brit bILLY), but cool big penised billy from Canada chat!) Malobear: "Think its about time the current Mods all had a time out." I bet that comment put your app in file 13 lol Sebbyyy =): You're pretty much disqualified... If you answered "Yes" to any of these: -Would you object to Rod reading EVERYTHING you do? -Has a mod ever spoken to you regarding your behavior? -Have you ever been suspended for attacking another user? -Have you been banned or been on long-term suspension? -Do you have any other accounts you use? -Do you have profanity on your blog / profile? -Have you ever asked to be a moderator? If you answered "No" to any of these: -Do you have any experience? -Do you have any idea of what's involved? -Do you know what ToS stands for? -Have you read the Rules & ToS? -Can you name the sections if asked to? -Can you kick a friend if they misbehave? -Can you be depended on in times of need? ღDiLLyღ: Well you got accept Sebbyyy and Im sure you weren't perfect b4 becoming one. NO ones that perfect online I couldn't do any worse than the Mods on here, regardless of my past present and future behavior Sebbyyy =): LOL! Here are some random facts: -I helped with some of the code for Wireclub long before I was a mod. -I always helped by answering questions in the forums which at the time weren't really being answered. -I was asked if I wanted to be a mod 2 times by 2 different mods. The first time I gave thanks but declined. The second time I accepted. -I have worked for TravelChannel, Userplane, and Stickam very much in the same way I work for Wireclub now. -I'm a mod based mostly on my ability to write code, which is why I was appointed to Tech Support. Sebbyyy =): It really comes down to experience though. If you have experience from other sites, it definitely helps because then you're already trained on how a lot of the procedures work. ღDiLLyღ: Come on Sebbyyy its not rocket science, I have Moderated most of my Adult life be it in the work force or managing a house full of children. Its not that hard to deal with peoples minor online issues, as compared to the real world. EDIT, added a little extra comment. |
