We are unable to un-ban accounts because the process is destructive - all data associated with the account is immediately deleted. They do give you a second chance though, if you follow the rules Reformed Nihilist: Hello! Usually though, banning is only reserved for extreme cases when there is no other alternative to resolve an issue, and the offending user(s) have shown that they have no intention of stopping the misconduct.
