Who's up for a minimum wage increase! (USA) Rich_Is_Here!: Hi! I have just proposed a minimum wage increase to at least $10.00 uS currency to the workforce of this country! If you too think that is a fair proposition then post here! This wage increase would benefit every worker at or below minimum wages! This also could be part of an International Peace Treaty between all countries within certain calendar segregations clauses put on the people of the world! Let's take a vote!  Scopinitout1: A raise in the minimum wage, generally speaking, increases unemployment. Isn't the unemployment rate high enough in the U.S. right now? Not only that, but it's tough to survive making only minimum wage. Get some training and/or education and get a job making a lot more than the minimum wage.  susan6002: good idea , but many people can not save enough time to think and change themselves . to increase the minimum wage , at the same time the price of life demand increase . so the minimum wage can not follow the rising price for our life demand forever .  zmaj012: everithing you say is true, but can you imagen life with 400 dolars by month and 20 % biger prices. That I call surviver cornnutsmaj7: If minimum wage goes up, that means inflation rises. And if inflation rises, prices go up, so you're really not doing anything, it all balances out.  flatlander17: I believe it should be inflation adjusted but just picking a number out of the air because it seems good for you is not logical. If you set the same wage across the world it would give us full employment and cause a depression across the world. We would pay higher cost for the things we buy which will eliminate your raise. One of the reasons things are made overseas is that the cost of labor plus shipping is less and we Americans don't want to pay more. I don't know to many people that make minimum wage.
