Working in the web Geoff: I'm not the only person who builds websites professionally here. I'm am certainly not the only person who hates Internet Explorer. But, for those who have not kicked the IE habit yet - if you use the internet, can I ask that you move away from IE and start using something that actually conforms to the commonly agreed standards. IE doesn't understand CSS3 - because of this, we web professionals have to tone down websites to accept IE's limitations. If everyone changed to something that worked, then we could build websites that are f**king awesome. Oh - and Internet Explorer doesn't explore the internet, it explores the World Wide Web - which isn't the same thing. //Edit - belated correction of a typo (Edited by Geoff) Preacher_Hall Wilson: you have a good idea...I understand what you're saying! what about Internet Explorer 9?! Geoff: IE9 is at least a start towards a proper web browser, unfortunately it still suffers from the 0 Day Exploit security flaw that plagues Microsoft's browsers. To the point that the German government is advising its citizens to not use it. | Work Chat Room Similar Conversations |
