Just a tune...

Just another song

I would.

Hmmm.....

...

Says it all really.

Random thought

I was reading ppl's blogs, commenting on such and watching T.V. Suddenly I had a thought, why do we do the things we do?, say the things we say?.
I've spent an innordinate amount of time and effort, dealing with people at their worst. There's not much (if anything) you can say to someone who's passing away in front of you.
For some reason though, people have an amazing collection of bullshit.
They talk 'big & mean' to each other, or spout garbage about 'one day', yet rarely do anything. Is it some sort of dream logic they're following?, or just a capacity for wasting time (theirs and other peoples).

I'm hopeing that when I keel over, someone'll have the decency to simply say; "You're fvcked, catcha".

Why?

I just watched something on T.V about how the credit crunch which resulted in a large number of people around the world loosing their assets, is being 'fixed' in america by houses being demolished because (wait for the punch line), 'they are worthless'.
If someone can explain to me, how a 'superpower' that 'crapped out' thinks adding to their already large and worldwide recognition of poor care of the most vulnerable, by destroying one of the most basic of human requirments i.e shelter, is a good idea, I'm all ears.
Serious, just about every sepo movie I've ever seen, T.V show or news report, has shown the gap between the 'haves' and 'have nots'.
I like to consider myself broadminded, but when a country is prepared to spend 10 billion dollars a month on some half arsed crusade, on the other side of the planet. But destroy houses that could shelter people because they are; 'of no financial value', well....WTF?

I just read a book

I just finished reading a book titled "Heart of Fire" by Senait Mehari. It's an interesting personal story, but I'm curious about somthing she wrote;

"Everytime I ask a black American if he is African, he completely loses it. Questions like these seem to be a great insult to most Americans because they are extremely racist to the peoples from which they originate. Black Americans are often prejudiced against the continent they come from, or so it seems to me."

(Refenait Mehari, Heart of Fire, 2006, p. 237)

Yanks are overly oppinionated at the best of times, but are they really as bad as that?
