Micky boy: So since the day I was born I was supposed to be here at this second drunk writing a reply about predertemism, or is it just a chaotic universe and I'm free to write as I please, anyway, I'm betting I don't give a bollox👍
scarletpanthershade1: Free will. While all of us have a purpose, it's our choice whether or not to fulfill it. What is that purpose? That's up to you to find out. Which is also a choice. See? Free will.
thewalkindude: I'll actually go Predeterminism. Even if our will is involved in the choices we make, the strength and reason for that will has a previous cause or origin. If you follow the causes back far enough, it's something beyond our control. For example, I might chose to help someone in need, but I make that choice based on previous experiences, or character traits that have evolved in me over time because of past experiences or choices (and those choices based on previous experiences and choices)- Eventually, everything was either taught by someone who learned from the same cycle, leading back to things beyond their control, or they learned from someone else, or as a result of their environment, and so on. Luckily, there are so many predetermined factors, and it's such a complicated system, that it seems, at least to me, to be indistinguishable from free will anyway.
tstarr8481: Thinking that it is predetermined.....For example, when we first meet someone and it clicks immediately....or when one is a natural in certain areas......ppl readily acclaimed *he/she* was just born that way......etc...
Hatake _Kakashi: I believe in Free Will but I also believe in destiny and fate and how every choice we make leads us to that inevitable day of destiny where the destiny that was written out for us plays out
RoyalTruthJustice: Free Will is a paradox. A perfect God, all knowing, all powerful that created a DEVIL who choose the opposite of what the perfect God, all knowing, all loving, all powerful wanted. Right there people should realize the nonsense and wakeup. But no, people just keep believing and giving $ to the religious leaders who sell invisible ghosts.
RoyalTruthJustice: None. Religious dogma rules, because people need the comfort of mythical flying creatures, powerful churches with group think, and the notion of a heaven after death. Grow up. It's not reality, it's myth. Your life is short, live it, change the world, once you die, you are TOAST. Only one's profiting off you then are preachers, pimps and politicians, not necessarily in that order.
Blackshoes in reply to RoyalTruthJustice: That's your opinion Not knowing any better ! When a wise man looks around at the miracle of Life and the Universe He see the handily of God ..
"And from true lordship it follows that the true God is living, intelligent, and powerful; from the other perfections, that he is supreme, or supremely perfect. He is eternal and infinite, omnipotent and omniscient; that is, he endures from eternity to eternity; and he is present from infinity to infinity; he rules all things, and he knows all things that happen or can happen."
tstarr8481: Einstein believed “Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect, as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper..."...
tstarr8481: "Every living being is an engine geared to the wheelwork of the universe. Though seemingly affected only by its immediate surrounding, the sphere of external influence extends to infinite distance". – Nikola Tesla
