Friends | attydallas3: 4.6 EQ in Downtown LA. - received an earthquake alert email from the U.S.G.S. last night that a 4.6 struck downtown L.A., about 10 miles from the Civic Center, around 10 p.m. or so local time. Don't know why it was not in the mainstream news .. Any feel it or heard anything more about it? Hopefully it's not a harbinger of something worse to come .. that's all we would need, on top of the virus, the hurricanes, and the wild fires .. &:-) Paul 3 years ago • Reply • Report • Link Collapse Show Comments (5) 0 attydallas3: Well, my bud in L.A. said he didn't feel it or that it was even mentioned in the local news. It was a bit north of Whittier (and just south of Rosemead) .. The first 4.5+ in L.A. in quite some time .. I guess LAers just take these kind of things in stride .. ? &:-) Paul

Very close to epicenter here. 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0 attydallas3: Wow, Brownie. Glad you were O.K.. &:-) Paul 3 years ago • Reply • Report 1 attydallas3: btw, my bud said he lives near the beach, which is about 30 miles or so west of the epicenter - no wonder he didn't feel it. Plus, he was probably asleep at the time, he said. &:-) Paul 3 years ago • Reply • Report 0 |
