Friends | attydallas3: Saw in the news a week or so ago that the FL Sup Ct has allowed the vote for recreational marijuana to be put on the ballot in this year's election there. Come November, if at least 60% of voters approve it, they'll be toking up there in no time. .. As conservative as FL is, can TX be far behind? Our laws tend to mirror one another. We have D.A.s in our four largest counties here who have already announced they are no longer enforcing simple possession laws of below a certain amount for personal use. But, of course, the TX Atty Gen is suing them for "not enforcing the law" to which they are sworn to uphold. And, despite the fact hat public polls show the majority of Texans are now in favor of it (51% or so), our belubed governor has announced basically he will not allow it to be legalized while he is in office .. smh .. &:-) Paul FL_CountryMama: Sadly I don't think it'll pass in FL. To many big pockets are agaist it...Publix being one of them. attydallas3: O.J. Simpson Dead @ 76 - Wonder if he had any "deathbed confessions" to make? https://www.aol.com/o-j-simpson-dies-76-185259015.html &:-) Paul View all 6 posts attydallas3: Well, it turns out, at least he did "force" family members to sign Nondisclosure Agreements shortly before his death .. whatever was up with that .. https://www.aol.com/news/oj-simpson-children-made-sign-202155307.html &:-) Paul jojomcx09: 3 gloves were found , 2 at Nicole Brown's house and 1 under Kato's window a/c unit in his room at OJ's estate. why would OJ leave 2 gloves for evidence at Nicole's house? and throw the other one under Kato's a/c unit? then there's the fact that the gloves did not fit OJ's hand. i served 4 years in the us army and wore black leather gloves a lot while working on tanks and other equipment during the winter months and wore wool insetts with those gloves. yes leather does shrink a bit when it gets wet but after it dries the leather returns to normal size , if this were not true then when you wear a leather outfit and sweat you would never be able to remove that leather outfit from your body nor would you be able to wear it again bc it won't fit. the narative that the prosecutors used trying to say those were OJ's gloves only proved the fact that Mark Furman planted the wrong size gloves at the scenes , and why would OJ need to wear 3 gloves , dose he have a 3rd hand? all the evidence the prosecutors presented in that case only showed what a botched job Mark Furman did at trying to plant evidence. OJ caught Nicole with Marcus Allen and that's when OJ cut off Nicole's 1200 dollar a week cocaine habit money. the drug dealers gave Nicole credit because they figured OJ would eventually pick the tab back up , but he didn't. so yeah i can understand some people wanting to say OJ was guilty. but there was no evidence saying OJ killed Nicole and Ron. Mark Furman botched the case to keep the DA from investigating who Nicole got her cocaine from. if for one minute you don't think law enforcement works together with drug dealers then you really need a dose of reality. the whole trial was nothing more than a fog to keep the truth from being revealed.
attydallas3: NASA Eclipse Explorer (App) - Pretty neat to use to predict when/where, etc. Again, for those of you visiting us here in Dallas on Monday, please heed the local authorities who are imploring drivers to not stop on the roadways to view the eclipse. It may inhibit the ability of first responders to respond to emergency calls .. https://eclipse-explorer.smce.nasa.gov/?year=2024 &:-) Paul attydallas3: Well, the eclipse went well .. And here in Dallas, we got the full meal deal (100% eclipse w. 4+ minutes of duration of total obscurity). It was a bit surreal .. Only disadvantage is that we did have some cloud coverage at the time. At least the dog (Maltese ) did not crazy during it, as often happens during an eclipse. Very proud that there we no reports of stopped motorists blocking the roadway on any of the highways or freeways here while watching it .. &:-) Paul attydallas3: Talk about "profound lyrics" in a tune .. Was listening to this tune by Steppenwolf (originally written and performed by Hoyt Axton, who witnessed and even battled substance abuse himself during his life) and heard, loud and clear, "he said he wanted Heaven but he found prayin' was too slow, so he bought a one-way ticket on an airline made of snow". Wow. &:-) Paul attydallas3: "Save Me" .. Somebody invited me to take a listen to this song that is making the rounds of late and has become very popular in different genres of music.
