 Blog PostsFriends         | What is wrong with people today?I was just out for a walk today when my ankle gave way (think I'm going to be fy@w$^ when I'm old if this is happening to me at this age). Don't worry I'll live pride hurts a bit and I've a nasty cut on my knee and a sore ankle. The reason I'm writing this because it happened by a very busy road (yes people prob got a right giggle), there was also a man walking towards me when it happen. I didn't get up right away due to how much my ankle hurt. Guess how many people stopped to ask me if I was ok? DJ 13 Descents: That's what kept going through my head what if I really needed help like your friend did? No one stopped not even the man who walked right past me only inches away from me asked. It saddens me to know we live in a world like that. I personally couldn't walk past some one in distress. Even when I was in hospital I was helping an old lady in and out to the loo because the nurses were so over worked they didn't have the time to bring her. I was so sick of seeing the women in the ward soiling themselves because there wasn't any one to help them.  Space Lord 2012: Here in the US we have whats known as.."the good samaritan law"..a person can actually be prosecuted for not helping someone that need's help.It's a good law but honestly..that law shouldn't have been neccesary because ppl should help one another out of the goodness of their heart,not because the law says they should help. Indifference is a terrible word †¦~¦†-: Thats why I think law's eventually are what create societies to be broken.. people need to do things that make them feel good. Not only for themselves but others as well.. People that are selfish dont listen to their hearts.. and probably should do it more often they'd probably learn somethin valuable in life.To not take things for granted.. DJ 13 Descents: Me personally I couldn't leave a person in need of help. I thought that was the normal thing to do. I know I didn't really need it today but had I seen some one fall I would have stopped to ask if they are ok. Space Lord 2012: People today have forgotten about the golden rule.. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" I firmly believe that these are words to live by, and I've always tried to live by them. |
I'd say no one stopped to help you either..We live in a sad world where ppl are indifferent towards each other..
