More than 1,000 people have been arrested in connection with Jan 6th - for ‘crimes’ including ‘assault’ - ‘theft’ - ‘trespassing’ and ‘obstructing an official proceeding’ - these are all minor charges - even the supposed ‘assault’ charges are mostly the result of the surging of a large crowd in a small space.
