I have tried desperately since joining Wire to avoid this type of idiotic drama. This goes out basically to the chatters from the 40’s and Over room. It was brought to my attention that someone has initialized a “hit” campaign against me, imploring others not to speak to me and as has been witnessed for a few days now, it seems to be working. So congratulations. It was also brought to my attention that this person has alleged certain “facts” about me that are completely untrue and are additionally hurtful to someone else besides myself. Why people do things like this to others they don’t even know, has always puzzled me. I understand that not everyone particularly likes everyone else – I get that. But this level of online hatred and resentment is something I’ll never understand. Someone has decided, in Susan’s absence, to take this opportunity to rid the chatroom of Sus’s friend and host. Okay. Done. Susan and I have been friends since the first day I joined here, 5 years ago. She and I have both had our share of those who disliked us and we have always banned together and supported one another. She will remain my friend in perpetuity. But I am not one to stay where I’m not wanted. As for the remarks regarding my online behavior, I won’t dignify them with a response. Whether in Ireland or here in America, I have been misjudged my entire life so this is nothing new to me. I feel very bad for those who find it necessary to build themselves up by attempting to tear others down. Maybe now, with me gone, she (they) will find peace.
