Russia is slowly taking over the province of Crimea, a state with a population that's 57% Russian. They've set up road blocks, armoured personnel carrier vehicles are on patrol, troops have taken over the Crimean parliament building, 2 airports (1 Ukrainian military airbase, 1 public airport) and a Ukrainian coast guard base. The new Ukrainian government (the last one killed 77 protesters) calls Russia's movements an invasion and military occupation. Russia has another 150,000 troops, 800 tanks, 200 attack helicopters near the border practising "war games" Is Ukraine worth fighting to protect from Russia?  domfree: crimea called on russia to come and to protect the citizens, what the russians are doing is putting military on high alert just like they did in 2008 in response to provocative attacks from georgia Jaysafer: Canada vs. Sweden Men's Olympic Hockey Finals. 7am Ontario time. Bars are opening at 6:30am and we get to get wasted off soda pop as booze can't be served until 11am. Still going to be worth it. Jaysafer: How about that US vs. Canada Women's Hockey game? It was the game of the US to win, and some how with a little puck luck our women held on to win it. I have never yelled at my TV like that, about how the Canadians were playing, and I haven't celebrated like that since the Canadian Men's Hockey game in 2012, beating the US yet again. Congrats ladies! Thank you so much, for fighting the good fight, coming out on top, and making Canada proud. Let's see the Men do the same tomorrow, but maybe not in overtime.
