When cannabis is smoked, Δ9- tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC or simply THC) can be detected in plasma within seconds of inhalation; it has a half-life of 2 hours. Following smoking of the equivalent of 10–15 mg over a period of 5 to 7 minutes, peak plasma levels of Δ9-THC are around 100 μg/L. Two active metabolites are formed: 11-hydroxy-Δ9-THC and 8β-hydroxy-Δ9-THC. The first is further metabolised to Δ9-THC-11-oic acid. Two inactive substances are also formed — 8α-hydroxy-Δ9-THC and 8α,11-dihydroxy-Δ9-THC — and many other minor metabolites, most of which appear in the urine and faeces as glucuronide conjugates. So I do know what it is, probably more than most. But it still does not change the fact that I do not take drugs. The only legal drugs I take are those prescribed by my Dr. Finallly, a very close friend is in rehab having taken marijuana a lot and she has serious depression, psychotic symptoms with hallucinations and delusions. I've used wacky backy in the past and it's quite effective for headaches and some success has been found treating some conditions with it such as Parkinsons and epilepsy but recreational overuse does cause psychosis and anxiety.
