Karen33405: I was taking a break and I came across an article on Luke Perry and the mushroom suit. I thought it was weird.

RubyAdams: I guess it's biodegradable. But is the body not placed in a coffin? A corpse decays ie biodegrades when just buried without the suit. Archaeologist here. Does the fungus suit help speed decomposition? If that's the case, serial killers should bury their victims in mushroom suits.

Karen33405: Formaldehyde and other chemicals injected in and applied to the body to preserve it are not good for the environment. Even cremation is not ecofriendly. So they came up with this suit which promotes mushroom growth. It feeds off your body so it decomposes faster.
