Happy New Year's!

I wanted to get this out now because I definitely won't be around tomorrow or for the next few weeks. Wishing everyone a safe and Happy New Year!

I apologize for not being around the past 2 weeks, I'm really behind on my inbox messages and I'm sorry for that. I've had a lot of music work find me over the holidays, and it looks like I am booked until about mid-February. Please feel free to leave a message and I will gladly get back to you, just be a little patient! You may see me pop on here from time to time, but 95% of the time I guarantee you I will be checking stuff from my phone.

Until we meet again folks, don't miss me too much. I'll always be around

My Anniversary!

Yes, that's right folks! You heard it here first. Today is my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of being on Wireclub. Cannot believe how fast the time has gone. I wanted to take this time to thank all of the great people on here that I have come in contact with this past year - maybe we talked, maybe we didn't, but you still have my respect regardless. Thanks again to you all!

Keep supporting local music, keep reading my blogs, and here is to another year of good friends, and kickass chats

Back From Holidays!

Well... wasn't really much of one because of all the travelling. No time to relax, but good times with family. Can't wait to catch up with all of you. I shall try and get back in the rooms by tomorrow, if not, Monday! See you there and let's rock the New Year!

Happy Holidays!

Just wanted to wish all my friends on here Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas! Stay safe everyone! I've been busy as usual and probably won't be able to come in the rooms until around New Year's. Feel free to leave messages, I always get back one way or another.

By the way, if you didn't read my past 5 blogs, do it
Until we meet again. Keys out.

TV Ad Music - A Wireclub Challenge (Part I)

Hey folks! Back again with another interesting blog compilation. Now I must admit, I HATE TV COMMERCIALS. They always interrupt our programs and try to brainwash us to buy their products. Well, there are some commercials I do enjoy - and that's only because of the music. There have been a lot of commercials in the past that have had some great music on them, but nobody ever knows who it is by or where to find it. I am actually quite good at digging deep into the music realm and finding such songs. Here is an open challenge to you all. If there is a song from a commercial you like and would want to get a hold of, send me the YouTube or a link to THAT commercial that has the song you want playing on it and I shall TRY to find it! Ready... GO!

Below are some examples of stuff I have found!

A Personal Update

Hello my fellow blog readers,

For those who read my blog about all my recent MySpace emails and whatnot I have an update for you all. Out of the 14 bands that asked me about becoming a keyboardist, I responded to 6 of them. One of them just got back today.

At this moment, they are looking for a permanent keyboardist. After exchanging a few emails I have agreed to go into the studio with them and write the keyboards/synth parts for all their songs and do backing vocals. I figured it's another great way to get my name on another record even if I don't end up with them permanently - there is still much to discuss regarding that.

I have setup a meeting hopefully for Friday so I will have an update for you all this weekend.

Time To Hit The Clubs!

Out of a collection of nearly 10,000 tunes in the Electronica genre, it's hard for me to pick. Here are SOME of my favorites.

Cassius - Sound Of Violence

Danny D vs Shamur - Gonna Make It

Groove Armada - Get Down

Iio - At The End

Junkie XL - Today

Dirty Vegas - Million Ways

Planet Funk - Who Said

Studio B - C'mon Get It On

Roberto Molinaro vs. Provenzano - Running Up

Boomfunk MC - Hypnotic

Enjoy!

For you photographers, STOP MOTION. This is Amazing!

So I just saw them in concert tonight and they rocked. From Vancouver, they definitely brought the west coast to us tonight! Here's a couple videos for you all again to spread some good music. Check them out! I just got back from their party and I'm just so pumped up right now!

RIP Haydain Neale (Jacksoul)

I meant to post this a couple weeks back, so it's a tad late. Here's a tribute to a good friend, great artist, and an influential being on the Canadian music scene today. He lost his battle to lung cancer at age 39 November 24, 2009. Your music will live on! I will never forget his teachings. RIP.

Yes, Estonia makes music too!

Meet Kerli. Highly reknowned pop artist over there!

Maybe I should check my messages more often....

So yeah I have 2 MySpace's. One which you all know about, and well the other, I totally neglect for months. Just checked it and after reading 106 emails I found 13 requests from bands to hire me as a keyboardist I've already emailed back 6 to see what exactly they want done. I'll keep you all posted.

FML! Yes... I said FML!

So here is one for you all...

I was trying to figure out how to do voice dialing on my Blackberry the other day. After a few tries I mumbled to the phone why are you such a f.uck up?

Having said that, it dialed my mom and dads number...

FML. Seriously

Lights, Camera, ACTION! *READ*

So this blog is a little off the beaton track, but I wanted to share this with all of you and how the power of networking in any field can really get you places!

As some of you know, I went to see Lights in concert tonight. If you don't know who Lights is, I have included a video and picture at the conclusion of this blog. I had the pleasure of meeting Val years ago and when she won her Juno Award (Canadian version of the Grammy Awards) last April she has taken off across the world touring with Keane in the UK, Warped Tour Summer '09 in the US, and back on tour in the UK with Owl City in March 2010.

It was overall a great show, I hadn't seen her in 8 months and her show has really grown to be of star quality. I recommend that everyone sees her if they get a chance! After the show, you know you get the die hard fans who like to get autographs and whatnot, so I waited about an hour to finally get a chance to see her again. It was funny how they were clearing everyone out of the place saying that she was not coming to do do autographs (which in all honesty is somewhat the truth) but I know that they say that just to clear the crowd out of there

Since it was held in a place that I had never been before, I didn't have any contacts there to let me stay so I tried to look busy as blend in like I was SUPPOSED to be there. Making small talk with people, helping unload stuff on stage and whatnot. So eventually the band came out and I started talking to the keyboardist and of course being the tech geeks we are, we talked about our rigs and whatnot. Then I was introduced to the drummer whom I had never met. Finally Val came out, and I was able to catch up and so glad I wasn't kicked out even the show ended over an hour ago. I had promised a member on here that I would get a personal shout out from her on camera only to find out that it wasn't working! Stupid me for not testing the damn thing before I left the house. But all is well bud, she said she is sorry you couldn't be there and thank you for all the support!

As I parted ways, I bumped into the event co-ordinator and we began talking randomly about upcoming shows and whatnot and somehow we got on the topic of past acts she liked. MY BAND being one of the names she mentioned! So that led to a whole new line of conversation and in the end I asked if they were hiring and they said YES. If only I had known sooner, I could have worked the show! So I am firing a resume off tomorrow with now a good word put in behind it, and it will be good to be back to doing some bouncer work in a live music venue because, why?

NETWORK CITY. THAT'S WHY!

Thanks for reading, I had a great night.

Here is her hit music video, "Drive My Soul"

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HARRRRRRRRD Style!

Doesn't this make you wanna smile, dance, and get your freaking groove on! HAHA!
