Wireclub Meeting In Toronto!

An interesting day was to be had yesterday in Toronto when 6 of us known Wire members arranged a meeting and planned a day of all out fun. I hit the road about 11am and finally met up with all of them around 2pm (after going through traffic Hell on Dundas Street and missing the place where I was supposed to park almost twice!) After parking my car, walking several blocks, and about 10 minutes of phone tag, I had finally met up with the group who were starving, yet patiently waiting for me. The 5 of us then went and sat down at an awesome place to eat where the day already had started to get interesting. A woman who came in with us, sat herself to the table next to us and just began joining our conversations - which we didn't mind at all. After about 5 minutes of silence she got up and said "I'm sorry, if I sit here any longer I am going to want to join your conversations." As she apologized to everyone in the back of restaurant she announced she can't talk to strangers in fear that we could be bad people and moved to a place by herself to the far end of the room. Yeah, we were just as confused as you are when you read this!

After eating, we dropped off some things and hit the Eaton center, then to the subway where we met our 6th member. Back to the Eaton center which we wandered around for quite a bit - exchanging stories and at times silly antics we met up with a man who randomly shouted in the crowded center "Selling weed by the pound" as loud as he could. That was funny!

By nightfall, we headed over to the EZone where we had booked ONE FULL HOUR of Laser Tag for JUST the 5 of us only. That was a grueling match between the 5 of us. We had a huge playfield to ourselves so that made it even more better. All of us came out with one injury at least, either we fell or took a dive to avoid getting hit, but I'd say that is something I will have to do again.

In the last few hours, we grabbed a bite to eat, watched a movie, and had a few drinks, and by 6:30am this morning I was back home in London sound asleep!

Thanks guys and gals, that was a blast!

Industrial Music!

Just sharing a personal favorite....

A Little Mood Music For You All.....

Tori Amos - Winter. FTW.
It was a song she wrote for her Dad.

A Special Thanks To....

Everyone who paid a visit to my room tonight. It was great to see some of the Wire regulars who have been around as long as me (if not longer) stop by and say hello. I think tonight brought back that Nostalgic Wire feeling we have all missed. I used to open my room back when I first joined and kudos to those who hadn't forgotten about it! Once again it was great to see a lot of old faces as well as the new faces I have come in contact with recently, and to the people I met tonight alone. After this experience, keep an eye out for The 'Key' Spot over in the User Rooms, I shall return.

Take care everyone.

Autotune Became A YouTube Trend!

Autotune is the best thing that ever happened to YouTube's dullest voices...
This is hilarious.

On The Seventh Day, I Rested

Definitely has been an interesting week of recording and writing. The new project is now underway and sounding good so far. Couple setbacks with constant revisions to the song, but that's all in the beauty of creation (I need to stop with all these religious allusions). On a side note, my car died. I think it's the starter, but it certainly hasn't stopped me one bit. I'll have another update soon - I just need to get over a long day of editing sixteen takes of vocals before I move on to finishing up the bass and guitar parts. For those who missed it, here is the link again @ www.myspace.com/remproductionscanada

Have a good one as always!

What do you think?

What I've Been Up To...

So some of you know why I have been gone for so long. Just before the holidays I had officially signed the pop singer I was after and now have taken on the role as her producer and composer/arranger of all her material with a joint agreement on the lyrics. Here is the unedited version which mostly consists of the first take because I want you all to hear this and then when it's all done to hear how I can transform it. (I am aware of all the flubs in this, remember, FIRST TAKE)

In this song titled "I Am" I played piano, choir background, drum tracking as well as wrote the song. I think I will be happy with the finished project and is most likely the first song of 13 or 14 more we will probably do. Enjoy.

Our boys played a tough game tonight and almost had the win with a great comeback in the third period! One thing left to say....

No. But seriously, in great sportsmanship, well played USA. See you next year!

On a side note, I can't even find the time right now to blog what I have been up to, but expect one soon! Miss chatting with you all!
