Habs Beat The Caps!

My team just took out the top team in the NHL tonight and I had to write this. I'm sure my fellow Wire friends who are also Habs fans will join me in saying...

WE WANTS THE PENGUINS! WE WANT THE PENGUINS!

Way to go boys, you fought hard being 3 games behind, but you came back a won like a true hockey team! See you in the 2nd round Pittsburgh!

I Cut My Hair Off!

Yes folks, the profile picture you have all seen since I joined this site back in December 2008 has never changed. All this time I have been growing my hair out. Some got to see its progression, so below I have a before and after picture. I just got it cut a week ago. The picture on the right was how long I grew it out, the picture on the left was me before heading to the London Music Awards.

Starring In A Music Video?

My girlfriend and I attended a prestige annual music awards event this past weekend (she is a panelist on the commitee). We joked about how good we looked as a couple because the event was formal and we were all dressed up for it. Well I guess someone took notice of that and now my girlfriend and I will be starring together in the lead roles of a music video. This will be interesting and I will have updates when I know I will be filming and what it is for

My NEW Single Is UP!

I have uploaded the FINAL MASTERED version of the song 'I Am' who most of you know I wrote, composed, mixed, produced, engineered, and arranged for my pop artist Laura G. Go have a listen and tell me what you think @ www.myspace.com/ryanmcnevinmusic

This song is featured on Laura G's titled album 'I Am' which is on sale now and will hopefully be on iTunes sometime in the near future.

Thanks for checking it out!

A Complete Success!

Three months of hard work finally came to an end last night - and what a complete success it was. With an overwhelming crowd of 400 in such a small venue, we pulled the show off without a hitch. I was surprised to receive the biggest applause for my contributions to this album for the song 'I Am' in which produced and wrote the music for. Was very happy to hear from complete strangers that my song was the best produced song on the entire album.

The media was everywhere. News channels, four magazines, and several other media outlets later, last night was a show that will be talked about for a long time and I couldn't have been happier to have been apart of it - performing and behind the scenes.

I am hoping to have this album available on iTunes and CDBaby in the near future. I am also happy to announce that I will be performing a few shows in Toronto so stay tuned for that!

Showtime!

Tomorrow is the big day where 3 months of hard work have finally paid off. Tomorrow I perform with the artist I helped create. From what I know the show is almost sold out and I am already receiving orders for the CD. I hope to have pictures and video from this epic event. I will talk to you all soon.

The Update You've All Been Waiting For

Where's keysoflife been?

Well, I will tell you. In my last blog, I made it very simple 'I am around, but just barely'. I do check this site regularly from my phone so I am able to respond to messages and wall posts. I know I haven't been in the rooms all that much (those of you who were fortunate to catch me - I can usually pop on between 2-4am in the morning haha).

Anyways, most of you know for the past 3 months I have been madly working on one of my clients albums - some of you even heard one of the songs in it's early stages. I am pleased to announce the CD has been recorded, mixed, edited, and mastered by yours truly. On April 10th, I will be performing a one night only show with my artist for the CD Release party. As far as I know we sold the place out and that's awesome and we made about 1000 copies available to the public. We do plan on selling this on iTunes and possibly CDBaby. Most of my time these past few weeks has been dedicated to getting the ban together and performing these songs. After that weekend, I should have a bit more time on my hands to come and chat with you folks because for some, it has been awhile.

Those who have me on Facebook already know I have been in a relationship for the past month and things are going very well between us. Furthermore, those who have me on Facebook will notice the cruel April Fool's joke in my status. So to put these rumors to rest, it was just some April Fool's fun.

Anyways, I am off to band rehearsal and in the time being, feel free to comment and tell me what you have all been up to!

Cheers,
Ryan (Keys)
