locksley69 to WizardBeWitch: I read your errors in the post you left Upaya, about the New Testament being written 383 yrs after Jesus "passed". You also deny His claim to divinity. I wd be happy to ask you to watch a video by historian and archeologist Prof Paul Maier entitled The Real Jesus to give you some real, not supposed, background.

Oh, and Constantine had nothing to do with the Bible except to make 50 copies of Christian texts for the cathedrals of the great cities of the Empire. Codex Alexandrinus is one of them. The Catholic Bible was made authoritative by the Synod of Rome in 382, supported by Synods in Hippo Regius and Carthage by the end of the century.

The books of the New Testament, beginning with Paul, began in the early AD 50s. John's Revelation and Gospel came during and after the persecution of Domitian, written in AD 96, The oldest fragment of the New Testament is from John's Gospel and is dated to c 120. That wd be less then 30 years from the time John's account first appeared in Ephesus.

If you wish to continue the discussion I can be found in the Catholic Theology room

WizardBeWitch: I also believe any real representation of God is that there is none forsaken, none, when Jesus restored the word of God, he thereby allowed all others to be chosen and covered by his covenants

WizardBeWitch: My opinion about the New Testament is the rewritten view of whomever you would like to name Paul, John, whomever those gospels have been rewritten for the Catholic Churches ability to capture an enormous new audience and thereby even to benefit the Roman Empire and Constantine, are you aware of the many Gods Constantine worshipped, did you know Constantine killed his son and boiled his wife to death in her tub, and lastly John the author of John I. II. III and some say revelation is the fact that he is known as a Kabbalist as well, so you can associate Jesus through him or you can study the Kabbalah and the Essenes Dead Sea Scrolls, you see Jesus also visited with them, excuse me if I sound a bit harsh, but again I believe in the f and his forgiveness of God and his will to one day unite all of us, excuse me but like I said I am a Kabbalist

locksley69 to SoulSister2021: I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. Luke 22:32

Spreading stories and creating innuendo about Father Barnabas are not the actions of a Christian, only a hysteric. As for the Last Times that you so want to be a part of, as Jesus said, "“It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority.' Acts 1:7

Concerning your spending a nonsensical life looking for signs, Jesus says, "It is a perverse and adulterous generation which seeks after a sign" Matthew 16:4

Jesus calls us to be joyful. not bother with signs: "On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be full ... I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have overcome the world!” John 16:23,24, 33

I prefer the joyful Lord Jesus of Scripture, not the morose Messiah of your imagination.

esp2holiness: Yes, the prophetic speaking to the church (the watchmen), the truth of the gospel is to be living vessels for his glory is to speak thru, the joy of the Lord will fill us as we let God live through us, like words of knowlege or wisdom, as our spirit co-exists with him.
