Friends | Simple guy. Enjoy talking to people. That's about it. MFC: It's been awhile since I've been here 9 years ago • Report • Link 0 MFC: My newest video up to date. It's my family and friends riding a scooter in cuba. Watch and enjoy. MFC: Today I worked out. I hardly don't go on my PC. Just bought a MacBook Pro. Trying to figure out how it works. I'm mainly on my smartphone when travelling across Canada. MFC: 45 cm of snow; a record for Montreal. Couldn't work. Here's the reason why. Took me an hour to get out of my residential area. Got stuck on the ON RAMP on my way to work. And my truck was snowed in. MFC: In Winnipeg now. Drove 600km in lousy snowstorm, witnessed a trucker getting a ticket for going 93km/h in a 90 zone through a snowstorm. Too fast for conditions. Dumb pollock driver. I drove between 60km/h to 80km/h, simply because I don't want to end up; like that truck that wounded up in the ditch and on its side, in Smooth Rock Falls Ontario. I actually had to take out the snowshoes; to check out to see if the driver was still in there. Never saw a truck on its side; upclose in personal. With my heavy size; would I be able to get out of there? Not to mention that I my co-driver/girlfriend in the truck. I take road safety very seriously. And no pollock or 50 year veteran driver will ever tell me; I'm driving too slowly. Driving in snowstorms is like; driving with snowmobile skis as steer tires. When we got to Winnipeg; and checked into our hotel; we walked two long blocks to go to another hotel room; have a few beers to unwind; and sing karaoke with the native people of the north end of Winnipeg. Yay... back to reality; long drive to Mississauga; and then home. MFC: I'm back from my Calgary trip. Drove 300km through snow covered roads. 100km through freezing rain. And then drove in freezing rain through Ottawa and Montreal. It's always a challenge driving a truck in Canada. But it's much safer than driving in the USA. MFC: I`m still around. Just driving between Montreal and Calgary. I just didn`t log in one week; and noticed a `we miss you` email. So I`m posting now. Later everyone. MFC: Going to Calgary again! Every week. A chaque semaine. Can't wait for snow to fall. J'ai hate que la neige arrive. MFC: Still stuck in Calgary tabarnak. Truck is out of service for the next... week or so. Our work is looking for a replacement truck. Would of preferred getting stuck in Winnipeg. MFC: My truck broke down. I'm stuck in Calgary until further notice; which could be a few hours to a few days. MFC: Sindy Gaves is my co -driver. Coming back from our trip Calgary, with the remaining 1300 km on our way to Montreal; Sindy Gaves came close to hitting two different Mooses twice on Highway 17 between Nipigon and Sault-Ste-Marie ON. It was a full moon out there. Must of been the ideal time for wild to mate. Of course, in our truck; we have two bunks. I was in the sleeper, and the close call came twice. The second one wasn't so lucky. She was driving at 60km/h, at night in the fog, and hit the moose on the right side of the front hood. I thought I felt a thump. Came to a full stop, took a look; no damage. We were really lucky. Those animals have a tendancy to destroy trucks. jojosmile4U: Happy to hear u guys made it back to MTL safely with lets hope not too much damage on the truck! MFC: On Saturday, I hit a deer on my to Calgary. It happened in the dark; on the TC-1 going westbound in Saskatchewan. Things are not looking food for me at the company I work for. They were crossing the the highway without looking. |
