I am divorced but a hopeless romantic who is in romance retirement. I don't know if I can withstand another broken heart....I've already had enough of those "character building" experiences. I'm somewhat like Humpty Dumpty in that all the king's horses and all the king's men can't put my shattered heart back together again.

A friend is one to whom you can pour out all the contents of your heart, chaff and grain alike, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take it all, sift it, keep that which is worth keeping and, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

I live in Dallas, TX and I consider TX my home no matter where I may have lived or where I'm currently living. I'm 68, former purchasing manager and contract administrator for construction management companies, now formally retired.

My life has been a regular kaleidoscope of changing colors and patterns. I've lived coast to coast and north to south plus some foreign countries. I have learned over the years that the only thing constant in life is change. We all must change to match ourselves with the social and physical environment in order to remain and/or move forward.

Every day is a good day with some just being better than others. On the really good days, we have more to work with!!! Smile, laugh, and make someone's day!!! My ambition every day is to make someone smile or laugh and feel good about themselves. I hope I can do that for you! ! Just remember, good people are the best people and that's why the Good Lord made so many of us! ! ! ! !
