MontanaMatt: Well day 2 in Nashville is off to a rough start. 😥
I caught a Lyft up to Diamond Coach. Learned that they have a new computer system..... And most of their old resumes on file didn't make it onto the new system. 😮 So I could have waited forever and not gotten a call. So I filled out an application....Briefly chatted with the head of the personnel department....and of course I need to go back with copies of my medical card and a copy of my passport.
And when I was finished I walked out of the building and tried to call Lyft for a ride back to my truck. And of course my phone was dead. I walked about a half-mile down the hill to a convenience store and asked them to call me a cab. They did that immediately. After almost two hours of waiting..... I bought a charger and a charging cable at the convenience store..... And charged my phone long enough to be able to call for a Lyft. She was there in 6 minutes and I was back in my truck 10 minutes later. And that's why the taxi cab service in this country is a fast dying industry. If they had ever shown up..... They would have charged me at least $45. Lyft got me here and it was less than $14. With nice conversation. Taxi cab drivers always want to talk about how Lyft and Uber are putting them out of business. No shit! But at least I'm back in the system at Diamond Coach. And I've got a couple more interviews with other tour bus leasing companies set up for later in the week. So at least some progress is being made. As frustrating as it is..... I guess that's better than nothing.

sunnyhaze2006: I suspect in the future if they continue like that, there won't be cabs around.
