MontanaMatt: Well it's been a whirlwind couple of days in Nashville since I got some rest! Had a blast with my nephew the other night! We ended up spending most of the evening in Blake Shelton's bar.....Ole Red. Pretty upscale place.....with five floors of party going on including a rooftop bar. Great fun! I went to see a buddy of mine play yesterday afternoon. She's 17 years old and is going to be a superstar! Hung out with her mom and dad while she played. Great people! A young man named Travis Rice played before her..... And he knocked it out of the park. Big future ahead for that guy! And then my friend Bailey took the stage. She did the best version of Tennessee whiskey I've ever heard! Brought tears to my eyes! After Bailey was a young lady named Cyndi Thompson. She wrote Gary Allan's song...... Life Ain't Always Beautiful! I told her that's the song that gets me through the days that I'm really missing my brother Mark.... And she cried a little hearing that her song means that much to me. It was great to meet her! I'm heading out to my buddy John's for dinner shortly..... And we're heading from his place to Alan Jackson's restaurant and bar.....AJ's. John is performing there tonight! One of my best buddies and one of the finest people I've ever had the pleasure to know..... Not to mention a world-class musician! John toured with Lee Brice for about 6 years..... Playing pedal steel guitar..... Lead guitar..... And mandolin. I'm struggling with my mandolin and hoping to get some tips this evening! 😀 So tonight will be my last night out on the town here in Nashville. This has been a great vacation but I still need to be ready for the road Monday morning. I may have to sleep all day tomorrow to make that happen..... But I'll be ready! 😎
Jante_nut: Alan Jackson, that was the other one! I'm so glad you had such a great time, you deserve it my friend. Safe travels when you get back on the road!
