Today I see the oncologist. I would be lying if I said I was anything other than nervous. But here it is, Step 1 in my treatment. Today, we will discuss what that treatment looks like. I know that radiation will be the order of the day. But how much? How often? How aggressive? What should I expect? Will I be able to keep teaching? What will the financial burden be? Today, I’m hoping all of these questions will be answered. I don’t function well when surrounded by an environment of uncertainty.
Today, I find out what paves my path to victory.
