orkanen: Why do most men I know prefer women without make up? 9 years ago • Report 1 orkanen: Make up tastes yuck. Make up is not you. Make up enhances insecurity. Make up requires skills to master, something most women don't have. Feel free to add to the list. near50ohoh in reply to orkanen: !) they have very tasty stuff now 2) if it's put on right it's supposed to still be you 3) whose insecurity hers or yours? 4) they have stylists at most makeup counters that happily and freely demo how to anyone who asks. 5) BUUUUTT, my issue is: a) it clogs the pores b) most is scented and I'm allergic to scent. orkanen: 1, I'd rather taste other stuff, like food, candy, my wife. 2, Make up is a mask you put on to hide your insecurities, to make believe you're something you're not. 3, Insecurity of the wearer, of course. Why else do young girls put on 2kg make up each, ensuring they all look alike? 4, How many do you know who actually have visited stylists, apart from before weddings and such? 5, Good one. 6, Make up is a product no one needs. A confident smile is far more sexy. near50ohoh: sighs a good make up job is just supposed to even out your skin tones and enhance your assets. It really is supposed to be your best you. And thinking that you do feel more confident. But yes, confidence is very sexy. Too bad teen girls and older women rarely have that huh? orkanen: If you're healthy and believe you've done well in life, if you've succeeded in something you deem worthy, you'll have confidence, you'll be sexy, no matter what you look like. Preferably without make up. Corwin: Whenever I've used models in my art photography I've had a minimal-makeup rule...sure, a little is fine, but the general rule is that if I can tell she's wearing it, it's too much. near50ohoh: so a little foundation if she has uneven skin tones, or blemishes; a little mascara to accent her eyes; a little blush and she should have a nice day look.and look like herself? cowpoker: Confident and blemished vs timid and flawless? That's not a choice we actually get to make, you know Ork. |
