Yet she is also associated with doves. I find fascinating this tripartite identity: love, war, peace. Kattiana: In Mesopotamia times - she can both give life and Take it away - how dynamic , yet beautiful. She is goddess of love and sexuality, and fertility; As the goddess of war, she is often shown winged and bearing arms. Her third aspect is celestial; she is the planet Venus, the morning and evening star โญ๏ธ Kattiana: โ๏ธ ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐. ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ View all 4 posts Perspicuity: Thank you so much! We are spirits of the earth, and so we are home both with the spiritual and the earthy Perspicuity: When I was an undergrad, my girlfriend at the time got a baby kitten, named Kavi, short for Akavish (the Hebrew word for spider). Kavi was a very cute kitten, but she had little needle claws, and her very favorite thing to do in the middle of the night was stick those tiny claws into the soles of my feet while I was sleeping, every two hours until daylight, every single night. Each time I jumped up, shocked out of sleep by that jab of pain, I would look down and see those two little curious eyes shining in the dark. Many years later, when I became a parent, I realized that this was how we learnedโby sticking our claws in something and seeing what jumped. Thatโs almost a definition of a scientist. And perhaps an artist too. Thatโs often how I compose, by letting my fingers run their claws randomly upon the piano keys and seeing what jumps, what jumps out at me as a phrase that wants to become a symphony. And at those serendipitous moments, surprised by the rightness of those random notes, Iโm sure my eyes, too, shine curious bright, like a baby kitten in the midnight moon.
