pugcasso: My thoughts ... These quotes apply in this age just as well. I think we should not automatically accept politicians, corporate owners, media owners and internationalist banking (eg, World Bank, IMF) or "central banks" (such as the 'Federal Reserve' of the US) as acting in the best interests of the general population. Unfortunately so many people instantly believe (without question) all the information they are given by owners of very few mega-media corporations (that is, most major media is owned by only a few people) and believe politicians who say they enter wars for alleged 'noble' reasons but behind the scenes have financial interests in war machine production or oil pipelines (eg... Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline ... research this).
We should be keeping those three quotes in mind especially at the end of this last 10-year period.
- “All power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely"
- "Great men are almost always bad men"
- "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks."
