Red _: So, I've been having some issues with grinding my teeth at night. Not a big deal. Just get a mouth-guard, right? Right. So I go to pick mine up from the dentist after it was made and the woman is telling me about it. She talks to me about how it'll be uncomfortable to sleep in at first. I'm like, "Aight. That's chill." However, she then proceeds to ask if I would be interested in knowing a trick to sleeping with it easier for the first little bit or so. I still didn't think it would be bad enough to need advice, but figured it'd be most polite to humor her.
She tells me to take twice the normal amount of Benadryl before bed for the next week.
And THAT is why I believe any medical professional I see is trying to kill me.
Red _: My writing professor keeps referring to my class as his "cult" and talks about our mass suicide with him as our leader. The first assignment of the year was to write an article response about whatever we felt like reading about. It's not due for another full week but figured I'd research some inspiration. Just turned in a response to an article titled, "Cult Suicides: Why Do They Happen?"
Red _: I just drained the water from my instant noodles in a water fountain because it was a fight or flight situation. #collegelife
Red _: You're His heir. Not His error. You are part of his divine creation. Whatever difficulties you have faced are not your weaknesses, but your strengths. You don't have to discuss what you've experienced and no one has the right to ask that of you. You discuss it when you're personally ready. However, the emotions, fears and stories that we hide away can also be what hinders us from moving on, receive closure and also make us fail to believe that we can be more than what our poor self esteems may play us out to be.
Red _: I find that it's in our nature as humans to be selfish for our own good. We know how to want for ourselves as soon as we're born. And, over time, it evolves from there. However, to love others and be selfless for their sake is something that must be learnt. One is nature. One is nurture.
Red _: So. A friend of mine just sent this to me in a text as a present he's been working on. I use dolls often as metaphors when writing sometimes. This means the world to me. <3
She swings her legs, swaying only if brushed
Her lips, no tongue, thread to keep her hushed
And slowly sighs counts off her dearest master
Sorrow sewn, a doll with dolls now broken plaster
Her eyes, no sense of sight, now no longer blinded
Guided by the choice before, and no one to confide in
Buttons up and down her neck, to keep her in her place
But when her masters gone, who will fill the empty space?
She leans against a wall of time, no spine to keep her still
Your a little red doll, a prophet of crimson on the window sill
How can you not cry, girl who listens as the walls talk
You took your own advice, a threaded doll and took a walk
Little red doll a color of a confident crimson hue
You fell out that window and somehow flew
Red _: If they try to make up excuses as to why they can't Love you, whether it be a lover, parent, sibling or friend. Whether it be because of your quirks, beliefs, physical characteristics or even the time of your birth. Then let them go. You didn't miss the mark on their affection. They missed the chance of Loving you. Hope that they find what does make them happy and pray, no matter how painful, that they don't have regrets.
