commentating by Mike Tenay & Don West ~ from the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, Florida

TNA KNOCKOUTS MATCH: Angelina Love pins champion Tara Varon with a Roll-Up {PSYCHOLOGY: shenanigans, she had her foot on the ropes!}; after the match, when it's clear that Slick Johnson won't reverse the decision, Tara drops him with a rather stiff kick, as Mi Pi Sexy scamper backstage, leaving Poison the Tarantula to play with Johnson

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle, who's been shooting his mouth off for the past month, because he has the ability to back it up, with his Main Event Mafia posse backing him up; after warning the TNA Fans that his bout with Executive Shareholder M@&z Foley's not gonna be a classic wrestling match, the Olympic Hero turns to his M~E~M followers & tells them that, if they don't get clean wins in their respective matches, he's gonna walk right out into the iMPACT! Zone & fire them on the spot. . . now let's see how their new lackey "Blueprint" Matt Morgan does in the following match, where he beats Chris Daniels with a 'Hellevator' Jackhammering Urinagi Slam {PSYCHOLOGY: & so the M~E~M's domination. . . begins?}

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Doctor Stevie & Daffney, the former inviting JB to open up his mind for a minute, sometimes you have to go beyond the pain, as he'll be doing tonight when he goes against his friend Abyss, who may have size on his side, but Stevie owns him mind, body & soul, so tonight the fans will find out who the master is in the following NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH: the Monster defeats Stevie with a Smoking Tazer to the Heart {PSYCHOLOGY: wait, let me read that again. . . !}

backstage, Executive Shareholder Mw*# Foley tells TNA Tag Team champions Beer Money Incorporated & Legends champion "Phenomenal" AJ Styles, telling them that they shouldn't let the Main Event Mafia get in their heads, they're gonna try to divide & conquer; let's hold onto these championships, so that they don't have to rely on the Hardcore Legend to keep ahead of the M~E~M, now let's go out there & win 1 for the Gipper! . . .

IWGP TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: champions Team 3D (Brother Ray & Brother Devon) versus the British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams); Ray pins Williams with a '3D' Double-Team Elevated Cutter Combination {PSYCHOLOGY: I didn't even know that they were defending the belts, until the ring announcer proclaimed that Team 3D were still the champs!}; after the match, Sheik Abdul Bashir & Kiyoshi Tanahashi storm the ring to beat down Team 3D. . . until Brothers Ray & Devon realize that those 2 are smaller than them & put Bashir through a table

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Referee Slick Johnson, who feels terrible about costing Tara Varon the Knockouts title, he clearly didn't see her foot on the ropes, but the ref's word's final, though he's gonna head to Management Representative Jim Cornette's office to demand that she get her rematch @ the appropriate time

TNA KNOCKOUTS GRUDGE MATCH: Jenna Morasca beats Sharmell with a Dirty Stripper Dance Pinfall {PSYCHOLOGY: sorry, I was asleep. . . what?}; after the match, Jenna, for some ungodly reason, gets all up in the grill of Awesome Kong, who then splats her with a Big Splash

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Kevin Nash, who commends Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle for rallying the Main Event Mafia, especially after winning an Olympic gold medal with a broken neck. . . so who cares if Executive Shareholder M*x~ Foley & his mullet "inspired" the TNA troops, he's gonna retire if Big Sexy doesn't win the following TNA LEGENDS TITLE MATCH: Nash defeats champion "Phenomenal" AJ Styles with a 'Jackknife' Dangerous Powerbomb {PSYCHOLOGY: lighting a fire under the M~E~M, indeed!}

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Referee Slick Johnson & Madison Raine, who emerge from the. . . Knockouts locker room shower. . . ?

TNA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: champions Beer Money Incorporated (Robert Roode & "Cowboy" James Storm) versus Their Brothers' Keepers (Scott Steiner & Booker TNA); Freakzilla pins Roode with a 'Small Package' Cradling Pinfall {PSYCHOLOGY: looking good for the Mafia so far, ain't it?!}; after the match, Jeremy Borash bothers the Last King of BookahLand, who says they said they were gonna do it, it's on like a neckbone. . . as for Big Poppa Pump, he actually sounds sorta not-insane, as he proclaims that they're now the greatest Tag Team of all time

backstage, Lauren Thompson bothers Samoa Joe, who assures her that his advisor's here & ready for war, the man who brought out the Nation of Violence & tonight it's Showtime, as tonight's gonna be Sting's final scene; TNA GRUDGE MATCH: the Samoan Submission Machine makes Sting Submit with a 'Kakina Clutch' Rear Naked Choke {PSYCHOLOGY: after Taz ambles down to ringside to give Joe inspiration}

a video package plays, showing MMA star Bobby Lashley talking about officially joining TNA

backstage, Jeremy Borash bothers Executive Shareholder M*yx Foley, who usually can find something to use against somebody by reaching deep into his offensive reservoir, but against somebody like Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle make it hard. . . although, after the last pay-per-view, the Hardcore Legend saw the Olympic Hero being worked on by a trainer, who told him that his neck injury from all those years ago never completely healed, but barring any unforeseeable circumstances, he should be okay; well, welcome to your unforeseeable circumstance, as Mickles declares that in order for Angle to beat him, he's gonna have to beat him {um. . . !} in the following MAIN EVENT, TNA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: champion Kurt Angle makes Executive Shareholder M@y$ Foley Submit with an 'Angle Lock' Grapevining Ankle Lock {PSYCHOLOGY: great, now Angle doesn't have to fire himself! . . .}; after the match, the rest of the Main Event Mafia saunter down to the ring to congratulate their godfather on his win, with everybody smacking title belts against each other like they're penises in a very gross porno. . .

This Week's Wrestling News!

PAY-PER-VIEW NEWS. . .
- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are about 10,000 tickets left for WrestleMania 24. Early estimates are showing over 55,000 tickets already sold. But wait, isn't that a bad thing? Doesn't WrestleMania, *the* WWE pay-per-view of the *year*, sell out the day that tickets go on sale? So I guess that's another 'Mania tradition gone down the crapper. . .

- http://www.WWE.com is finally acknowledging that "WWE's Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin will be in the Royal Rumble match. SmackDown's "Silverback" Mark Henry & the Great Khali have also been added as participants, without having to win qualifying matches themselves. 11 more spots remain. Here's an updated list of RAW, ECWWE & SmackDown competitors appearing in the Royal Rumble: Benjamin. . . Henry. . . Khali. . . Umaga. . . Gene Snitsky. . . Hardcore Bob Holly. . . Hornswaggle McMahon. . . M%zw Foley. . . UnderTaker. . . Dave "The Animal" Batista. . . Jimmy Wang Yang. . . Smackdown Tag Team co-champion John Morrison. . . Shannon Moore. . . Smackdown Tag Team co-champion Mike "The Miz" Mizanin. . . Kane.

- Kevin Nash's going to Greenville, South Carolina on January 31st & February 1st to do media promoting the Against All Odds pay-per-view, which's taking place @ the BI-LO Center on February 10th. Plans call for Tyson Tomko & "Phenomenal" AJ Styles to have a rematch with Samoa Joe & Nash @ Against All Odds, even though Big Kev turned on Joe @ Final Resolution. On the subject of Against All Odds, 2nd row seats are still available @ http://www.Ticketmaster.com Hell, I'm almost tempted to buy 1, just to say I did! . . . As of today, they've moved a little over 1,000 tickets for the 11,000 seat arena. The event takes place a little over 3 weeks from now.

- TNA has made a business with UFC to promote their February 2 PPV event, which will feature a match between Brock Lesnar & Frank Mir. Expect to see heavy promotion of the next UFC PPV event on TNA iMPACT! over the next 2 weeks. They will be airing hype packages building up the match between Lesnar & Mir in particular. Next week's iMPACT! will showcase a Brock Lesnar training video. Also, it was announced on LAST night's iMPACT! that there'll be a Kurt Angle interview, in which he breaks down the match between Lesnar & Mir.

- http://www.TNAwrestling.com is reporting that New Japan wrestler Tiger Mask (Yoshihiro Yamazaki) will be appearing on iMPACT! next Thursday. Tiger Mask last appeared in TNA in May & competed @ the Sacrifice Pay-Per-View.

- Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's 2008 "Destination X" spectacular will be held live @ the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, on Sunday, March 9th, airing worldwide exclusively on Pay-Per-View. "Destination X" will feature the superstars of Spike TV's "TNA iMPACT" performing live for a worldwide audience, including Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle, Booker TNA, Kevin Nash, "Instant Classic" Christian Cage, Team 3D & Abyss. In addition, fans will see the hottest young talent in professional wrestling today, including "Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, The Motor City Machineguns, "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, "Kaz" Frankie Kazarian, Tyson Tomko, "Showtime" Eric Young, The Latin American Xchange, TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong, "Chief Executive Offender" Traci Brooks, Gail Kim, "Cowboy" James Storm & more. You can read the full press release @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/*******713.php

WWE NEWS. . .
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ http://www.jrsbarbq.com

- The Colin Delaney angle on ECWWE wasn't originally planned, as it started off as a bit of an accident. They originally booked indy wrestler Pepper Parks as the local guy from a Rochester high school to lose to "WWE's Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin. When he got to the arena, they thought he was too big, so they nixed plans on using him. They were looking for some1 else & on the recommendation of Parks & another indy wrestler who was too big for the role in Brodie Lee, suggested Delaney, who's their friend who lived in the area. So, yay him, I guess? . . .

- http://www.tmz.com recently had a story regarding http://www.WWE.com videos with Superstars like Smackdown Tag Team champions Mike "The Miz" Mizanin & John Morrison calling for Britney Spears to join them, but she has to loose some weight 1st. . . also, Jesse stating that Festus has the face of a man who thinks she's "special". Ouch! The report also responded to comparisons of WWE Owner Vince McMahon to the Dyspepsia-inspiring Diva, saying that neither are pleased with hearing the word "NO!" & that they've both been crying out for help for years now. It rehashes Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake stating that he'd love to punt her in the arse, as well as showing an uber-old clip of Molly Holly bashing Trish Stratus' face into the announce table of Monday Night RAW on the New TNN, while D'Lo Brown looks on {how's *that* for a dated reference?} & a clip of Hulk Hogan putting a sleeperhold on a fan, then saying that Spears' letting her life turn into a "chute", showing TMZ's obvious ignorance of the well-known wrestle-speak term "shoot", which essentially means to tell it like it is, say what's on your mind. It even gives the results of a http://www.wwe.com poll, revealing that the fans want to see Vinnie-Mac powerwalking down the aisle with his fellow head-shaver. You can view that TMZ video segment on their website @ http://www.tmz.com/tmz_highlight_video?bcpid=*******860&bclid=*******640&bctid=*******803

- WWE Owner Vince McMahon's cancelled the Randy Savage & Sting DVDs that were listed for a 2008 release. The DVDs were originally scheduled after WWE producer Kevin Dunn's television department released a list of planned 2008 releases to distributors. However, they did so without the permission of McMahon & the creative team. When Vince found out about the plans for the DVDs, he immediately nixed both projects. They got taken off the drawing board because Vinnie-Mac didn't think they were making enough 1st-run DVD releases & he wanted DVDs on new major legends. However, the problem's that they've pretty much through everyo1 who would be marketable from the past & the feeling's any1 pre-1984, such as Bruno Sammartino, that audience's so far gone that they wouldn't sell. They've pretty much run through every major star of the past 23 years, with the exception of Sting & Randy Savage. It's not exactly known as to why McMahon nixed the Savage DVD, but it's been long rumoured that there's some bad blood between the 2 individuals. Regarding the cancellation of the Sting DVD, it's because he's currently under contract to TNA. You can see the page where the Macho Man DVD was to be sold @ http://www.amazon.com/Randy-Savage-Macho-Madness-Wwe/dp/B00120LPQU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=*******683&sr=8-1 Ahhh snap, I guess it's time for the Wrestling OG to pop a cap in Vinnie-Mac's arse, yo! -- http://www.pwpix.net/superstars/r/randysavage/gallery/photoscans/1/index.php

- Bobby Lashley's due back from his shoulder surgery this month, so he should be returning any week now.

- Ohio's Beacon Journal newspaper's reporting that SmackDown superstar Dave "The Animal" Batista was pulled over by a man who claimed to be an undercover police officer, but wasn't really a cop. Batista reported the incident after it happened on January 5th, while traveling from a WWE event in Canton, Ohio. Batista told investigators that he was stopped on Interstate 77 by a man using a red flashing light on his vehicle & claiming to be an undercover officer. Stark County sheriff's deputies were dispatched after the Animal phoned them to report that he'd driven away from the "officer" after stopping north of 38th Street Northwest & being asked for his driver's license. He told investigators he became suspicious, because the man didn't have the usual police equipment, including a badge, the man's vehicle didn't look like a cruiser & he was wearing camouflage pants. Deputies, who talked with Batista near the Everhard Road off ramp, said the suspect wasn't found. Umm. . . does Davey-Boy *really* look like the kind of guy you want to pull over, unless you have a 100% valid & legal reason? . . .

- Last week, WWE officials had all of their developmental talents @ OVW & FCW take photos & video introducing themselves & saying when they were signed to the developmental system. This is part of a new process to track their improvement. The talent will get "report cards" to inform them of their progress. WWE typically lets a few guys go after the new year & there's some uneasiness among the talent. Well, I can only imagine that they're about as nervous as an old-school WWF fan watching "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes grabbing some plumber tools & heading towards a sink!

- It was announced Wednesday afternoon that a developmental wrestler by the name of Neil Bzibziak has been suspended for violations of the WWE Wellness Policy. Bzibziak works under the name "Chett The Jet" & was an OVW mainstay until he was moved to Florida Championship Wrestling sometime last year. His WWE status was in limbo after an idea to call him up to the main roster fell through & he stopped appearing on developmental shows. If you don't know what he looks like, you can see his picture on the official Florida Championship Wrestling website @ http://www.fcwwrestling.com/talents/chet.htm Additionally, according to numerous sources, Derrick Neikirk was released from the company earlier in the week.

- the Big Show should be back in a WWE ring by the end of the month. Latest plans don't have him re-debuting @ the Royal Rumble, because he's definitely not winning it & he'll come across as just 1 of 30 guys. Or, more realistically, 4 of 30. The former WWE Heavyweight Champion's signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment & according to Wade Keller, a source close to Wight, the deal's "Signed, sealed, delivered". With the Big Show officially back on the WWE roster, he's expected to return to WWE television within the next few weeks. As previously noted, TBS explored a boxing career since leaving WWE. In the process, he's lost a considerable amount of weight. The back pain he suffered before leaving WWE is said to be much better as a result of the weight loss. In fact, to view a picture of the newly-svelted Paul Wight, as taken by Nick Hogan's cell phone, check out http://www.sescoops.com/images2/bigshowrecent.jpg

- http://www.WWE.com has posted a video of D-Generation X giving their thoughts on WWE's move to High Definition next week. They talk about how everything's going to appear much clearer in HD. They joke around & reference Gene Snitsky & tanlines. The video closes with HHH joking about "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michael's receding hairline, after he can't help but stare @ it when Michaels briefly takes off his hat. You can see the video @ http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/vms/raw/2008/january15-21/6232744

- As of last week, Ron "the Truth" Killings hasn't signed with World Wrestling Entertainment yet. He's waiting to see if AAA in Mexico offers him a comparable offer to WWE. If they don't, he's expected to become a devout McMahonist. If he goes to AAA, they'll likely want him full-time & so he'll have to move to Mexico. I'm sorry, I may have to play some music to help me recover from that. . . !

- RAW superstar Ken "Kennedy" Anderson married his girlfriend, Shawn Trebnick, this past Friday. Oh, that was *last* Friday -- I guess my invitation got lost in the mail. . . Anywho, Matt Hardy posted a new blog on his MySpace about going to the wedding: "Whoa dudes! We've had 3 hard days of celebrating this monumental marriage (a.k.a. partying, LOL), but now it's time to go home. Finally, I'm back in my room after a really nice wedding tonight that capped off an extremely fun 3 days in Minnesota. I have to admit, I haven't ran this hard over the course of 3 days since my appendix ruptured. But I held up just like the old self, actually better! It was great getting a chance to spend so much good, quality time with Shane, Ken, Jamie, Dara & Hassan. It was almost like the old golden days, traveling on Smackdown with the CCB's! I'm exhausted from sleeping only a few hours a night & wearing those damn uncomfortable tuxedo shoes, HA! But, in all actuality, I did get a lot of compliments on my very not-me tuxedo look -- I'll have to post you guys & gals some pixs when I get a chance. If I crash now, I can sleep 3 1/2 hours before I gotta get up & catch that flight back to North Carolina, so I'm going for it. Good night to you all, my peeps, I got nothin' but love for ya! & congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Anderson, may God bless you guys in your new journey in life!" Awwwwwww! Well, in case your blood sugar hasn't spiked sufficiently with that, you can view a picture of Hardy, Anderson &. . . some guy who might be a Baldwin. . . @ http://www.sescoops.com/images2/kennedy_wedding.jpg

- Former WWF & WCW Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious recently sat down with Brian Fritz of Between the Ropes to discuss "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, a possible return to WWE & more. You can hear the archived show @ http://www.betweentheropes.com or read a synopsis of the interview @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/*******442.php

- http://www.WWE.com official website has a photo gallery of memorable moments taking place @ Madison Square Garden. In the caption for the picture of Jesse "the Body" Ventura pointing @ Hulk Hogan @ SummerSlam '88, they mistake him for Randy Savage. The caption reads: "'Macho Man' Randy Savage fires up partner Hulk Hogan @ Summerslam '88." You can see the picture & caption @ http://www.wwe.com/shows/royalrumble/exclusives/msg/ -- it's the 3rd picture

TNA NEWS. . .
- http://www.Prohiowrestling.com is proud to have, as their interview guest, a mainstay of the Ohio wrestling scene & international wrestling star with TNA Wrestling, Shark Boy & you can read a synopsis @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/*******678.php

- According to http://www.GameStop.com, the "TNA iMPACT!" video game will be released on May 1st, 2008. Finally, I can have that Rhino/Ron "The Truth" Killings Former WWE Employees Dream Match I've always wanted to see! . . .

- A woman's seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback & former TNA "Superstar" Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her @ an Atlanta strip club. Fulton County Magistrate Court officials told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a January 3rd altercation @ the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson, an attorney, says in her filing that she was in the club's office, when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money & bracelet. "I was sitting in the office & he lunged @ me numerous times in an effort to do grave bodily harm," Wanda wrote in the warrant application filed January 7th. "Veronica Jones, an owner, went into the hall to deal with a member of his entourage. I followed to gawk. He was in the hall, surprisingly reached over or around a security guard & sucker punched me in my left eye." Jackson told police the next day she was @ the club because she was handling a divorce case that involved Adam Jones. Nobody could be reached Tuesday afternoon @ the club's listed phone number. "Mr. Jones, according to Ms. Jackson, was @ the Body Tap Club & she & Mr. Jones got into an argument @ the club & Mr. Jones struck Ms. Jackson in the left eye, causing a bruise around her left eye," according to the police report. Wanda didn't immediately return a phone message requesting comment. Pacman's attorney Manny Arora said no warrant's been issued against his client. Norris Arnold, a court support manager for Fulton County, said a magistrate judge will review Jackson's application on February 8th to determine whether the warrant will be filed. Last month, Adam pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge related to a strip club shooting in Las Vegas that left 1 man paralyzed. Clark County District Attorney David Roger said the new accusations could affect his case in Nevada. With his plea, Jones agreed to 1 year probation, random drug testing, community service & anger management classes. "We've negotiated with Mr. Jones in exchange for his assistance in an attempted murder case. This doesn't help his case, if he's found guilty," Roger told The Associated Press on Tuesday. Pacman's been arrested 6 times -- yes, the number between 5 & 7 -- since being drafted 6th overall in 2005, including 2 arrests in Georgia in 2006 that the Titans didn't learn about until 2007. Jones was suspended for the 2007 season by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in April. "As we have said throughout his suspension, we won't comment on Adam Jones until he's reinstated by the commissioner," the Titans said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Adam was allowed to go to the Titans' headquarters once their season ended with an AFC wild-card loss in San Diego on January 6th. But the NFL plans to review his status following the Pro Bowl. . . & this me speechless. . .

- WTAE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's reporting that TNA Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle will be going to trial for DUI & careless driving, stemming from his arrest on September 28th, 2007. He appeared @ a preliminary hearing in town Wednesday & was ordered to stand trial by District Judge Mary Murray. No trial date's been set yet. Angle's lawyer said, "We're disappointed the magistrate would allow such a case to continue on, based solely on the testimony of a witness, who herself, faces a DUI charge filed by the same department. There has to be some articuable fact that the police officer saw on each element of this crime. They don't have it here." WTAE recapped that on September 28th, police said they got calls about Kurt's driving after he left a bar & restaurant in Moon Township. On Tuesday, a witness said she saw Angle pull out of the Seashell Bar & Restaurant along Beaver Grade Road the night of the incident, claiming he almost hit a car. Another witness claimed the Olympic Hero's white Cadillac Escalade almost hit a car, police said. When police went to Angle's nearby home, they said he showed signs of intoxication & they explained that somebody had reported his erratic driving. Police said they smelled alcohol & gave Kurt a field sobriety test, which they said he failed. WEll, maybe they should consider adding applying Ankle Locks & shirking MMA challenges to that test, huh?

- TNA will make its official debut in New York City on Thursday February 21st with a house show @ Webster Hall. The current lineup for the event features: TNA Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle versus Booker TNA. . . The Motor City Machineguns versus Team 3D. . . Samoa Joe versus "Phenomenal" AJ Styles. . . TNA X Division Champion "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal versus "Guru" Sonjay Dutt. . . "Cowboy" James Storm versus "Showtime" Eric Young. . . Latin American Xchange versus the Rock & Rave Infection. . . TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong, Christy Hemme, Gail Kim & Salinas will also be appearing. Tickets for the event go on sale today @ http://www.WebsterHall.com

- TNA will be releasing an extended version of last night's "Global iMPACT!" on DVD in the near future through http://www.TNAShop.com The DVD will feature complete matches from the TNA versus New Japan event @ the Tokyo Dome, as well as more behind-the-scenes documentary footage & interviews with the TNA stars in Japan that didn't air on Spike TV.

HAUGHTY HOTTIES NEWS. . .
- Former RAW Womens champion & TNA Knockouts champion Gail Kim has a new MySpace page -- www.myspace.com/gailk77 The old 1 had a bunch of spam on it, so she opened a new page. In a blog, she talks about her supposed injury & losing the title to Kong on last week's iMPACT!: "So I decided to finally do this. . . man I suck with computers. so now every1 can check in with me here or through my website http://www.thegailkim.com Just wanted to write a little something since every1's emailing me concerned about my 'injury'. I really wish every1 would stop believing what they read on the internet. I guess it comes with the territory, but some people wrote me saying my leg was injured. Nope. I did get a minor concussion @ Monday nights iMPACT! tapings, but I'm completely fine now. I have to be honest though. . . I did feel like I got hit by a truck this past week. . . & that truck would be Awesome Kong! Yes. . . she took that title from me. . . but I promise that I'll get it back. . . she probably had the slight advantage going into it, since we wrestled the night before & by the way, she really shouldno't have had a chance to get that title, since I beat her @ Final Resolution, but I never back down from a challenge!" Yeah, like the challenge of posing topless for a Korean cell phone company. . . hey, guess what pictures I found? -- http://www.thenewsvault.com/cgi/news.pl?t=67

- Shantelle Taylor, who was under a developmental contract to WWE before being released in the summer, is featured as the "Sexy Superfan Of The Month" in the latest issue of WWE Magazine. There's a portrait photo & a candid photo of her posing in front of some WWE merchandise, not to mention that they give her a wrestling quiz. There's absolutely no reference made to her wrestling past. She lists her occupation as fitness instructor/promotional model. She signed a deal with WWE in May 2006 & appeared on Deep South Wrestling & Florida Championship Wrestling shows, until her release from the company last summer. Taylor appeared on 1 WWE house show swing last year when she wrestled Jamie Knoble as an ambiguous masked wrestler. Officials gave Taylor another look when she wrestled Jillian Hall in a dark match prior to a Smackdown/ECWWE taping in June. She was reportedly released because creative had nothing for her on the main roster. But they keep Lena Yada? . . .

- Victoria's posted up a new blog, noting that her goal for 2008's to become the Smackdown Cruiserweight Champion. She also says that she has a new look. She typed her blog from backstage @ Tuesday night's SmackDown/ECWWE tapings, so you're going to have to wait a little longer to see it. You can read the blog in its entirety @ blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=*******35&blogID=*******67

- Maxim's official website features a video interview they conducted with Candice Michelle Beckman @ the Consumer Electronics Association in Las Vegas last week. You can view it @ http://www.maximonline.com/CES-Interview-WWEs-Candice-Michelle/CES Maxim Stuff/blogs/599/11325.aspx?src=tstcm Speaking of Miss http://www.godaddy.com Candice'll be on cable TV show "LA Ink" on TLC Tuesday @ 10pm EST.

- Anastacia Rose, the former SmackDown backstage interviewee, appears to be through with the company. Her reputation backstage wasn't too good, because a number of people backstage considered her to be a "disaster" in the interviewee spot. Considering that she came straight out of the entertainment world (she was a contestant on CW's Pussycat Dolls reality show), it was originally speculated that Rose was the 1 who made the decision to leave World Wrestling Entertainment, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Apparently, the company made the decision to replace Anastacia with 2007 Diva Search contestant Lena Yada. Despite Rose's bad reviews from management, people are already questioning the switch. They're already talking like they made the wrong move in giving Rose's interviewee role to Yada, who doesn't appear to be long for the role either, as she didn't appear on SmackDown last week, instead finding a character spot on ECWWE. Vince McMahon & Johnny Ace wanted to justify the Diva Search by having some1 from this year's contest contributing to WWE, so they made the call to sign the 3rd place runner-up Lena & rush her on to television & in their eyes, Rose wasn't doing too good of a job in her role, so they made the decision to replace her with the Diva Search contestant. Anastacia wrote a recent blog on her MySpace page -- www.myspace.com/therealanastacia -- indicating her apparent departure from WWE, but doesn't outright say it. She notes in her blog that a number of people have been asking as to what's going on. She simply writes that she's on to "Bigger & Better things @ this time. . ." Speaking of which, WWE's removed Lena Yada's profile from the SmackDown & Divas section. When you go to the old page, it's a "Not Found" page. Her profile isn't on the ECWWE website either. However, she doesn't appear to be in any trouble, because on Tuesday night's broadcast, they advertised her for a "Best Body" contest on next week's show. No wait -- my bad, they've put it back up again on the ECWWE site. Glad to see that they're taking her so seriously. . . yyyyyyyeah. . . so she loses the Diva Search, then has her profile removed from everything http://www.wwe.com related. . . but she's still employed by WWE. . .

- Shelly Martinez' official ring name for TNA is Salinas. This is Dixie Carter's married name. So WWE Owner Vince McMahon's not the only 1 who does that sorta thing, after all, huh. . . ?

- Former WWF Women’s champion & Intercontinental champion Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer recently told cameras that, contrary to the rumours, she won't be on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. She said that she'd love to do the show, but hasn't been asked. You can check out the video @ http://www.tmz.com/tmz_main_video?titleid=*******935 Hey, wasn't it her press agent who said that the producers were interested in having the former amateur porn star on their show? Man, Hollywood's so *fake* . . . !

- For those wondering what Stacy Keibler has been up to lately, she recently took part in a fashion show in Hollywood, California. Sponsored by Ultra Slim-Fast, the night consisted of "10 weight loss success stories in a runway show, in a celebration of setting & achieving realistic weight loss goals & body diversity." Because, of course, Stacy was always the picture of overweight. . .

- Nude pictures of the late Nancy "Woman" Benoit do indeed appear in the March 2008 edition of Hustler magazine. They advertise her appearance in the magazine as: "Wrestler Chris Benoit's Murdered Wife Nude." The photos printed in the magazine are actually screen-captures they got from a videotape, in which she appears nude. Nancy specifically had the photos destroyed, as she didn't want the uncensored photos published, yet was unaware that some1 kept the video footage of her posing. Boy, are we glad that little secret slipped through the cracks, eh?

- Missy Hyatt, 44, has opened up a new website. Hyatt's latest endeavour offers people an uncensored look into her life through a camera that's running 24/7 in her New York apartment. Basically, you can always see what she's doing when she's @ home. Orrrr. . . how about "NO!"

DECLARATION of INDEPENDENTS NEWS. . .
- 2 HUGE matches have just been added for NWA Upstate's February Fallout for Saturday, February 23rd @ the Minett Hall in Henrietta, New York: Main Event, NWA Upstate Heavyweight champion Jimmy Olsen versus Danny Doring. . . Champions versus Champions (Which Titles are @ stake to be determined) NWA Upstate Tag Team Champions Rhythm & Booze versus NWA Empire Tag Team Champions The McCloud Brothers. These matches, along with the matches that were announced earlier & February Fallout '08 is already shaping up to be a loaded show. For more information, check out http://http://www.nwaupny.com/

- Republic Pro Wrestling will be LIVE @ The CLB Armoury, Harvey Road (St. John's, NL) Saturday, January 26th -- ALL AGES WELCOME!! Doors Open @ 6:30pm, Bell Time @ 7:00pm Admission ONLY $8. RPW will be hosting "Night for a Legend. A tribute to Ed 'Sailor' White." The final competitor for the Republic Pro Wrestling Super 8 has been announced. The Magnus, a 7-year veteran of the local mat game, has consistently been a top competitor in ever promotion that he's competed in. Both Magnus & "Nearly God" Norman Tharx have a tremendous history & it'll come to a climax on January 26th when these 2 mainstays collide in 1st round action. These 2 are joined by JX Phlex, Vince Austin, Lance Romance, "Paragon of Virtue" Mike Burry, Blake Maxwell & "Nasty" Nick Dyson. Also, the 1st combatants have been added to the 15-Man battle royal. Jonny Xtreme, Dylan Davis, Loco, Johnny Chaos & "Big" Mac Bradley will all fight for this. . . an RPW contract & this just added. . . a money-in-the-bank RPW HERITAGE TITLE shot to be cashed in before 2008 expires! Big news!

WRESTLER BIRTHDAYS. . .
- January 12th: Luna Vachon. . . B. Slamming Wrestling Radio on its *BACK* Since 2002!

PAY-PER-VIEW NEWS. . .
- Here's some compiled live reports received after Sunday night's Armageddon PPV: The dark match of the evening was Jesse & Festus defeating John Morrison & The Miz clean. . . Biggest pops of the evening were Jericho putting Randy Orton in the "Walls of Jericho" Elevated Crab, Jeff Hardy's surprise pinfall on HHH & The UnderTaker's entrance. . . Lilian Garcia fell down in the ring right before announcing Beth Phoenix as the winner of the RAW Women’s Championship match against Mickie James. Interestingly enough, Lilian was injured @ a live RAW taping back in June 2006 (also in Pittsburgh) when Charlie Haas bounced her off of the ring apron. . . The spot with the 2 Edge imposters during the main event really confused the live crowd. . . After the PPV went off the air, 'Taker walked to the back while his music played. Dave "The Animal" Batista sold being hurt for a while, then got up & left, high-fiving fans on his way to the back. Lillian then thanked every1 for coming. Edge then thanked himself for ruling! Shortly after Armageddon, http://www.WWE.com had photos in their gallery showing the Edge imposters with captions revealing that they were the Major Brothers. A little while later, those pictures & captions were removed. However, they now have a story on the front page of the site, mentioning that the Rated-R Imposterstars were indeed Brett & Brian. Apparently they'll be forming an alliance under the tutelage of the Conniving Canuck, who said to them in a WWE Mobile exclusive after the show, "You listen to me. . . strap a rocket to your backs, because you’re going straight to the top. Tag team gold will be yours!" Yep, they already reek of awesomeness!

- WWE officials had serious discussions this past week about what they want to do @ WrestleMania. They're trying to get a gameplan down & then they'll start the booking process to reach the destination that *is* WrestleMania. Yeah, that's great -- it's not like 1,000s of fans already have tickets to the event or anything -- no, you guys go take your time. . .

- Advertising's already started for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match @ No Way Out on February 17th in Las Vegas. They're pushing the match, with the winner getting a title shot @ WrestleMania. The deal's that the Royal Rumble winner chooses the champion he wants to face @ 'Mania. The top wrestlers, likely for the other brand, will battle for the other #1 Contendership shot in the Elimination Chamber. It looks like this'll be a RAW brand match. The names listed in the advertising include "Legend Killer" Randy Orton, "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, RAW Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy, Ken Kennedy, Umaga & Bobby Lashley. Noticeably absent are HHH & Chris Jericho.

WWE NEWS. . .
- WWE Hall-of-Famer Jim Ross updated his blog & you can read the latest posting @ http://www.jrsbarbq.com

- After RAW on Monday night, some fans were speculating on-line that the Mankind that appeared wasn't the real M*@# Foley, rahter some impersonator. For 1, he didn't speak in the segment, not to mention that he looked mildly different than how people remember him, perhaps due to the hair. On ECWWE on Tuesday night, they aired a highlight video from RAW & they showed a split-second clip of Mickles with his mask partially off after the broadcast on USA ended. There's also a video from after RAW of Foley sticking Socko in the mouth of Santino Marella, while his son Huey watches. You can view that video @ http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/vms/afterthebell/2007/december8-14/6038322 Meanwhile, the Hardcore Legend & Michael "Pure Sexy" Hayes got into a major argument during a recent filming of the WWE Legends show for WWE 24/7. It isn't known as to when it'll air, but the subject matter concerns the Vince McMahon death angle from earlier in the year. Foley was adamant that the angle was in bad taste. Hayes, 1 of the main people on the creative team, strongly argued in defense of the angle. Maybe Mickles should've just reached down & Touched his Level! . . In other 15th Anniversary news, the original scripted ending for the show called for McMahon to be laid out by either StoneCold or Undertaker & then have Bret "HitMan" Hart put Vince in the 'Sharpshooter' Modified Indian Leglock while the show went off the air. Of course, Hart turned down the invite & WWE went with a different direction. Paul Heyman was never officially invited to RAW's 15th Anniversary show, but feelers were sent in his direction. Nonetheless, he didn't appear interested. Heyman felt that whatever audience would have popped for his surprise appearance, had been run off from wrestling due to the direction it's gone in recent months.

- "Nature Boy" Ric Flair recently agreed to terms with WWE on a new 3-year deal that'll run through 2010, but he has yet to actually sign the contract. His current contract expires on Tuesday, January 8th. Though it would certainly be nice to see Naitch continue to perform, it wouldn't exactly break my heart to see him put on a shirt & retire from active wrestling, either.

- WWE officials had talks this past week to shake up the roster in the near future. They plan on doing another draft after WrestleMania. Yippee, that oughta make for some more interesting combinations. . . like Big Daddy V versus Kane -- no, wait. . .

- Plans are in place for WWE to release DVDs on Dave "The Animal" Batista, Bobby Lashley, StoneCold Steve Austin, The Rock & "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig in 2008. They'll also be releasing a Summerslam Anthology box set, which will feature every edition of the company's annual August pay-per-view from *******07. They'll likewise be releasing a compilation DVD on Hell in the Cell matches. Furthermore, it's believed that matches featuring the late Chris Benoit will be utilized in future Anthology sets, but they won't be marketing his name, nor using him in compilation DVDs on select WWE stars. It's believed that the Austin DVD was delayed (it was originally scheduled to be released in November) because it was going to feature his mid-2001 feud with Benoit. I'm glad to hear that WWE's going to stop "forgetting" that the Rabid Wolverine existed, but it's still sad that they took that stance in the 1st place & that more wrestling fans didn't take a stand against it. But oh well. . .

- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson'll start filming a remake of "Escape to Witch Mountain" in Las Vegas next month. The movie's slated to be released in March 2009. The movie's another Walt Disney Pictures film that's going to be geared towards kids. Great, now he's gonna get typecast as a guy who acts in movies! . . um. . .

- A lawyer for Michael Benoit, father of Chris Benoit, told the Associated Press that the fight over the Benoit estate could be resolved soon. Cary Ichter, the lawyer, said that he hopes to soon determine whether the dispute can be resolved without further litigation. The estate, worth between $1,500,000 & $3,000,000, is subject to a dispute from the family of Chris' wife Nancy, who was killed during Benoit's double-murder-suicide & Benoit's father, who's advocating on behalf of his son's children from a prior marriage. Much of the dispute hinges on the order of the murders. The Associated Press story says that if Benoit killed his wife 1st, before killing his son Daniel & himself, as is believed to be the case, the estate would pass to Benoit's living children. If, however, the child was killed 1st, Nancy's family would be entitled to @ least a portion of the estate. The story also notes that WWE rejected an offer to pay Chris' children $2,000,000 in recognition of the wrestler's work for the company. It's unclear if Michael Benoit will sue World Wrestling Entertainment. Hey, this all sounds very unique & I-never-even-heard-it-3-months-ago! . . In other WWE-likes-to-go-to-court news, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's published an article stating that World Wrestling Entertainment's threatened to boycott holding events in the state of Georgia, if they're subjected to state regulation. The Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission's meeting today to discuss "abuses" in professional wrestling. Currenly, the Commission holds no jurisdiction over WWE due to a loophole from a 2005 statute that states any groups, with total assets exceeding $25,000,000 can regulate themselves. As a result, WWE performers aren't subject to drug testing or other regulation from the state. The state Legislature has the power to close that loophole & WWE's made its position clear. According to WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt, "If those regulations are applied to us, we won't do Georgia". Georgia state officials aren't surprised @ WWE's threat. Cary Ichter, 1 of the board's commissioners, said, "What else would you expect a bully to say?" Curiously enough, Ichter also serves as Michael Benoit's attorney.

- It appears as though that John Brad$haw Layfield's returning as a full-time wrestler! There's been talk for several weeks of JBL giving up his announcing spot on SmackDown. Television producer Kevin Dunn's been auditioning people with Michael Cole to find him a new announcing partner. Hey, where do I put in a resume!?

- As announced on RAW Monday night, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair'll face HHH on the New Years Eve edition of Monday Night RAW. If Flair loses, he'll be forced to retire. It'll be taped on Saturday, December 29th in Greensboro, North Carolina. Yeah, Slick Ric wrestling in his home state. . . I can see how he might lose that match! Also from RAW, the following is compiled from several live reports from fans who were @ the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York Monday night. the Buffalo crowd was rowdy, with several fights breaking out throughout the night. . . dark Match, 2 jobbers wrestled & 1 of them won. . . from Heat: The Highlanders defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Super Crazy. . . Gene Snitsky squashed local wrestler Mike Tullo. . . DH Smith pinned Charlie Haas in a back & forth match. . . After RAW: Chris Jericho came to the ring & said Buffalo was promised a match featuring him & they were going to get it. Out comes RAW Heavyweight Champion "Legend Killer" Randy Orton. Just like the night before @ Armageddon, John Brad$haw Layfield came out & screwed Y2J out of the win. Jericho & JBL brawled until the Ayatollah of Rock & Rollah got the upper hand & put him in the "Walls of Jericho" Elevated Crab. . . Jericho, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler & Lilian Garcia all went around ringside & signed autographs before leaving.

- The 97th edition of JG’s Radio Free Insanity is on the air & available right now @ http://www.WorldWrestlingInsanity.com (Flash & MP3 download) This week's guests are a pair of WWE Hall-of-Famers. It's Jimmy & Johnny, The Valiant Brothers. Both shoots took place this week on http://www.ClubWWI.com & you can read about how Brutus "the Barber" Beefcake couldn't talk, Boogie Jam '84, driving to shows with drunk legends & More @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2007_/articles/*******039.php

TNA NEWS. . .
- Sting, who turns 49 in March, has either verbally agreed to a new contract, or the belief's that they're close to an agreement. It's said to be a new 1-year deal. He'll do some TV, most Pay-Per-Views & hardly any house shows. Dixie Carter sees him as a wrestler who makes TNA look more major-league & whose name will help them land more licensing deals. Now, if only we can keep the TNA camera crew from zooming in so much when filming his face. . .

- TNA management's said to be very high on Tyson Tomko’s potential to be a breakout star in the company. However, with him working tours of Japan, that may cut down the company's willingness to invest in him as a top tier player. Tomko's high on the "Japan Style" of working, which has it’s pros & cons depending on how flexible he is with getting across what TNA’s creative team wants him to in the ring, that might conflict with what he’s used to in Japan.

- Since Scott Hall’s no-show @ Turning Point, he hasn't been in contact with TNA management or 'wrestlers. Also, Francisco 'McGyver Gaztambide of http://www.PRWrestling.com sent this along: "Scott Hall no showed his scheduled appearances in Puerto Rico for WWC, where he was scheduled to wrestle Friday in Ponce & Saturday in Caguas. Hall, along with Rico Casanova, arrived late Friday to the Island, the reason why he no-showed the Ponce event. In Saturday's case, even though he was on the Island, the wrestler was too affected emotionally because of several family issues that happened this past week, that have taken a toll on him. Hall wishes to let every1 know that right now, he has to deal with his problems & for the time-being, those are more important than ago, Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash appear to be getting along very well. They're being teamed together for now, with a potential split & a singles match down the line.

- Ron "The Truth" Killings' release from TNA was confirmed last weekend. He asked for his release after TNA held a meeting, where TNA said they'd let any1 who wanted to leave, out of their contract. It was pretty much considered to be a formality he'd be let go. The 2 parties formally agreed last weekend. Killings has a spot waiting for him in AAA in Mexico, if he decides to take it. As soon as his working papers are complete, which should be in February, he'll likely be working there. On his MySpace page -- www.myspace.com/ronkillings1 -- regarding his release, he talked about going back to his "original stomping grounds." Early in his career, he worked the indies in Georgia & the Carolinas & of course, there was his brief run in WWE as K-Kwick, teaming with then-Road Dogg Jesse James. It's unknown @ the moment if WWE's interested in him or not. However, what's known's that RAW Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy & Umaga are pushing company officials to sign him to a contract. Yeah, because they got so much out of him the *last* time he wrestled with them. . . not to mention the great track record WWE has with using TNA wrestlers, right "Alpha Male" Monty Brown? & just in case WWE really wants to test its track record in that regard, Senshi's profile's been removed from TNA's official website, so that should pretty much confirm that he's through with that company.

- An official television s***** for the upcoming January 3rd episode of TNA iMPACT! has leaked online. You can view the s***** @ Gillberti (Disco Inferno) were producers of various segments for the show. The s***** also reveals the entire card for TNA's Final Resolution Pay-Per-View, which takes place 3 days after this episode of iMPACT! airs. Oh no, I guess that means nobody's gonna wanna watch the show, right? 'Cause if there's 1 thing man-b%@$w wrestling fans know, it's how to say "that show won't work, look how much Interview! It might've taken them 5 years, but they finally pinned down "The Original Diva" Tammy Lynn Sytch for an interview, as they get Interactive with Sunny! Everything from becoming the most downloaded celebrity on the Internet, to doing Vixxxens & so much more. This interview's shocking & she even admits that "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels gave her 9 months of pleasure! To listen to this interview in its entirety in glorious streaming media, check out http://www.WrestlingEpicenter.com & click the Interviews link. So. . . is there a sign-up sheet for volunteering to give Tammy 9 months of pleasure? . . Regarding a possible return to WWE, Tammy told the Fight Network out of Canada last week that she spoke to some important people in WWE, but she didn't want to jinx anything. She simply said, "you never know." She indicated that she's interested in having another run with WWE. Sytch said she was 1st contacted about being apart of the RAW 15th Anniversary show 2 weeks before the show, but was told by Howard Finkel to keep it a secret so that it'd be a surprise. However, she was surprised herself to learn that WWE's official website announced her return a few days before the show. Sytch, 35, credits her return to her "Sunny body" to her boyfriend (who happens to be a police officer in New Jersey) for encouraging her to return to the gym & dieting. Well, I'm glad to hear that she's moving on with her life! In even more happy news for the Sytchster, it seems that, of all the stars from the past who made cameo appearances on Monday night's 15th RAW Anniversary show, Tammy looks to have the best chance @ landing another job with World Wrestling Entertainment (besides the likes of Trish Stratus & Rob Van Dam, obviously). Backstage @ the show, Johnny Ace asked Sytch for her contact information. They talked with her about doing some segments for WWE 24/7. However, it isn't known @ this time if they'd like her back as a member of the roster, or just possibly as a host for 1 of their pay-service shows like fellow ECW alum Tazz. Plus, WWE's official website has posted a video feature on Tammy. It's edited together to look like a video they'd play on television. In the video, Sunny talks about her return to WWE @ the RAW 15th Anniversary show. She said it was "awesome." She said she was so nervous on the way to RAW that she was actually shaking in the car, but as soon as she arrived, she was cool again. She said it was great to meet a bunch of new people @ RAW. A number of the new wrestlers went up to her & gave her a lot of respect. The video then shows exclusive footage of Sunny mingling with new & old stars backstage @ the show. The video then talks about Playboy. Sunny said she was the 1st Diva to be offered to do Playboy, but she was too immature & shy @ the time & that it was something she wasn't ready to do, so she turned it down. She said a few years later she made a decision "to do a website" (in reference to the infamous Wrestling Vixxxens site), but she wasn't ashamed of it. When she looks back @ the Playboy offer, she thinks it was something she maybe should have done @ the time because it would've boosted her career, but @ the time, she simply wasn't ready. The mood of the video then turns somber, as it segues into the "dark days" of Sunny. She notes that some things beyond her control occurred. "Back in 2001, I got very sick. I had pancreatitis & that screws with your entire system & then back in '05 a certain some1 passed away (in reference to longtime boyfriend Chris Candido) & uh, that screws with your system as well & you know, I put on a couple pounds, I'm gonna admit it. I didn't look like Sunny anymore & yeah, I kind of needed a break from the business altogether." To depict the "dark days," the segment displays footage of her in WCW. She said she wants "1 last run before she packs it in for good." She said she watches WWE programming sometimes & she sees all these gorgeous girls out there who are doing what she should be doing. She said it "kind of gets under your skin." She said she should be right there with them. She said she was tired of being lazy & that she was going back to the gym so she could "look like me" again. The video closes with her saying "I'm ready to go out there & do my thing & entertain the 1,000,000s & 1,000,000s of WWE fans. That's all I want."

- Velvet Sky's already auctioning off an outfit she wore @ a recent iMPACT! taping for a match that has yet to even air on television. She's auctioning off a "Naughty Santa" outfit she wore @ an iMPACT! taping this past week for the "Naughty Santa Battle Royal." The match airs on next week's edition & it features a slew of TNA Knockouts. You can check out the auction @ blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=*******8&blogID=*******78

- Ashley Massaro briefly spoke during the "Survivor: China" reunion special Sunday night. After many other issues were talked about between the contestants, host Jeff Probst asked Ashley, "What's been the reaction from your fans?" Ashley said, "They're okay with it. I thought about it & I was so scared to come home & face this, because I thought they were going to be so disappointed in me, but every1's been so cool & so supportive & have been just waiting for me to get back in the ring & back into action." Then she was asked, "So there are fans of Ashley who don't really care how you do on 'Survivor'?" Ashley replied, "Yeah, they're still stoked for me to come back to WWE." Hell, I'm stoked for her to head back to Playboy! . . Ashley's also posted a new blog on her MySpace page regarding her experience on Survivor: China & you can check that out @ blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=*******1&blogID=*******86

- In a recent newsletter, Playboy announced that WWE Diva Candice Michelle Beckman'll be doing a "girls spread" for the Playboy Cyber Club. Hehe, girls. . . spread! . . Anywho, check out http://cyber.playboy.com for more details on that.

- Former WWE Diva & TNA Knockout Jackie Gayda's on the cover of the Fall 2007 issue of Bodytalk, which is a fitness magazine. She's now a personal trainer in the Houston area & her professional name's Jackie Haas, what with being married to WWE's Charlie Haas & all. In the magazine, she talks about her experiences as a new mom, getting back in shape after her pregnancy & educating & helping others as a personal trainer. You can view the magazine cover @ http://www.bossonline.net/fall_07_bodytalk.html

- Torrie Wilson's still listed on the Y****! Independent pro wrestling shouldn't be confused with over-glamorized big budget WWF wrestling; this is the real thing, wrestling in its truest form: low budget, seedy & REAL! WR will document the adventure, the personality conflicts, the successes, the failures, the passion & the business of independent professional wrestling. Wrestling Reality will follow a core of 4 wrestlers who have been working together for years. The film crew will document this group as they prepare for the nightly events. Not only will the fights be featured in each episode, the outside-the-ring lives of these characters from late night parties to business dealings will be captured in a real fast paced, action-packed style. It'll be gritty, greasy & full of personality. WR will document many wrestlers from around the globe. However, this series will focus on a core of 4 Canadian pro wrestlers; Rick Doyle, Peter Smith, Gary Gallant & Mike Hughes. These 4 wrestlers will be the main characters throughout all the seasons of this series. The unfolding action will be the trials & tribulations, failures & successes, responsibilities & abuses of a group of testosterone filled men on the road, supporting themselves out of pocket, trying to make a living doing what their passion is. We'll see characters trying to be responsible for their families & their careers @ the same time dealing with the pressures such as drug abuse & living the "rock star" lifestyle. We'll see this group of passionate men who share the common dream of being the best wrestlers they can be, deal with each other's egos, each other's issues & personal baggage @ the same time supporting each other in a brotherhood bond that's stronger than any of their differences. "Wrestling Reality" will be the 1st television series EVER to document the lives of independent pro wrestlers outside the ring. This is the REAL wrestling, with REAL people behind the characters. There may be an act inside the ring, but certainly not outside of it. WR will be the 1st television documentary/reality series that'll expose the truths, tricks & misconceptions about wrestling, all told by the wrestlers themselves. The wrestling fan community's been begging for a show like this for years, now they are going to get it.

- "Franchise" Shane Douglas came out of hibernation @ last Saturday's IWC show in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He gave 1 of his patented, long-winded, "shoot-like" promos, this time ripping on TNA, Dixie Carter & Vince McMahon. He also ripped on TNA booker/writer Dutch Mantel, complaining about his comedy booking in front of the crowd. He said the best idea Mantel could come up with was Eric Young wearing a chicken suit. Shane said 53 of his closest friends are now dead & that Vinnie-Mac's done nothing to help things or make the schedule better. The indy promoter originally brought Douglas to the show to do an angle with 1 of the promotion's wrestlers. However, the wrestler he was supposed to be feuding with, Bubba the Bulldog, put the Franchise over for all he'd done the business after Douglas' promo. The whole locker room then came out & applauded the former Dean Douglas. TNA booked Samoa Joe & Eric Young on the same show & TNA typically hates stuff like this, so it could affect future relations between them & IWC. Way to go Douglas, always up for burning a bridge or 8!

- Rob Van Dam's signed on to wrestle Booker T in the main event of Booker's PWA event on December 28th in Pasadena, Texas. http://www.PWInsider.com suggests that it's RVD's 1st post-WWE match, while http://www.WrestlingObserver.com suggests that it's his 2nd. We have RVD's 2nd match on the table, 2nd match, 2nd match, do I hear 3rd match, 3rd match up for bidding, do I hear 3rd match?

- Diamond Dallas Page's posted new blog on his official web site -- http://www.diamonddallaspage.com/ -- where he talks about recently visiting Lex Luger, who's living @ a spinal rehabilitation centre in Marietta, Georgia. Despite regaining some feeling & movement, Luger still remains paralyzed. Lex suffered what doctors believe was a "spinal stroke" while in California back in October for an autograph signing. Awwww, poor Liz-Killer! . .

WRESTLER BIRTHDAYS. . .
- December 15th: Aleida Ortiz. . . Rene Dupree. . . "Showtime" Eric Young. . .

- December 16th: Sid Vicious. . . William "The Refrigerator" Perry. . .

- December 17th: Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore

- December 18th: StoneCold Steve Austin. . . Rob Van Dam. . . Trish Stratus. . .

- December 19th: "Mean" Gene Okerlund. . .

- December 20th: Gran Akuma. . . Tarzan Boy/Toscano. . .

- December 21st: The Patriot. . .

THIS WEEK IN WRESTLING HISTORY. . .
- December 15th:
{1963} Rikidozan dies of a fatal stabbing @ 38. . . {1998} Brady Boone dies in an auto accident @ 40. . .

- December 16th:
{1917} Frank Gotch dies of uremic poisoning @ 39. . . {1948} "Ali Aliba" Larry LaBelle dies in a car crash @ 40. . . {2000} The Blue Demon dies of a heart attack @ 78. . .

- December 20th:
{1985} Tarzan Tyler dies in an auto accident. . .

For all the news that's right on the Mark, go to http://ringrust.s5.com

WWE Owner Vince McMahon wouldn't allow any interviews with anybody in WWE, including himself, if CNN put Meltzer in their documentary. In the end, McMahon won out, as the documentary obviously featured interviews with WWE employees, not to mention access to a WWE event backstage & ol' Dave-o was nowhere to be found. Furthermore, there's no word yet if a few specific wrestlers, such as Marc Mero & Konnan, were barred from appearing on the show @ McMahon's request. What, why wouldn't Vinnie-Mac want Johnny B. Badd & Max Moon on the documentary?!

- "Nature Boy" Ric Flair's finance business, Ric Flair Finance, has gotten a website makeover. It doesn't look like a parody site anymore & the front page has an audio message from Flair himself regarding his new business venture. You can see the site @ http://www.RicFlairFinance.com

- Shortly after the SmackDown/ECWWE taping in Wichita, Kansas this past Tuesday, John Brad$haw Layfield gathered several wrestlers, including Montell Vontavius Porter, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, John Morrison, CM Punk & Matt Hardy. JBL was upset with The Miz & Morrison’s performance with their commentary work on ECWWE. Brad$haw felt that the 2 went back & forth a little too much & that overshadowed the CM Punk/Jamie Knoble match & made Punk look bad heading into Survivor Series. They were also ran down for their work during a tag team match against Hardy & MVP, which will air on SmackDown. Layfield demanded that Mizanin & the Shaman of Sexy apologize to Porter, Matt & CM for making them look bad. The Miz agreed & apologized. However, Morrison told JBL that it was none of his business, though he did say he would apologize, just not to JBL because he had no right to step in; @ 1 point, the former Johnny Nitro shoved the former Wrestling. . . God & agents had to break it up. According to witness’ reports, Brad$haw was standing up for the performers that went out of their way to make Mizanin & Morrison look good, only for the duo to not hold up their end by returning the favour. Yeah, way to fight those important fights, guys!

- Next week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown in Canada will air on Thursday night, instead of Friday. Replays of SmackDown will air on Thursday & Friday night @ midnight. SmackDown's been moved due to The Score covering the Vanier Cup live. So not much of a change for me, I'll still be recording the Friday night edition anyway, but just as a heads-up to those who enjoy having a leg-up on the United States!

- Chris Jericho's on the cover of the latest WWE Magazine. While this in & of itself mightn't warrant much outrage or surprise, the cover was leaked on-line & is considered legit. There's a major article inside with him talking about working with John Cena, HHH, "HeartBreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, Ken Kennedy, et cetera. Jericho also said that he went to Lance Storm’s wrestling school, to work out the ring rust {HA!!!} after taking off for so long. Y2J also said that he's coming back with new moves & a new finisher, as well as a new look, without the long hair. Yyyyyyyyyyeah daddy-o!!!!! In other UberStar of Jerichlean Proportions news, Chris recently appeared on Bubba the Love Sponge's radio show on Sirius & he said that TNA's offer to him was "cheap." Jericho also told Bubba that he hadn't signed a contract with WWE, although he did admit to having a number of discussions with them.

- In case you haven't noticed, ECWWE star Kevin Thorn hasn't appeared on television in several weeks. His last appearance took place 5 weeks ago on October 9th in a match with developmental talent K.C. James, who was working under the name James Curtis. If you recall, that was the match where Thorn botched a move @ the end of the match. He's getting punished for that, because he could've severely injured James with the botch. Furthermore, Thorn's said to have a bad attitude, not to mention that his matches often receive lukewarm reactions from the crowd & that's why you haven't been seeing him on television as of late. Oh, I just thought it was because the shows were taping during daylight hours. . .

TNA NEWS. . .
- Sabu was backstage @ Monday's iMPACT! taping looking for work. They told him that they have no interest in his services @ the moment. Management told him that there are currently no open spots on the roster. They said that they're looking to focus more of their energy on their underutilized home-grown talent. Booker T's an exception to that rule, since he's considered to a top star in the industry. Yeah & Balls Mahoney's a legitimate romantic interest for Kelly Kelly! . .

- Rob Van Dam's had a few discussions with TNA, but it's nothing serious yet. He's been telling friends that he wants to rest for several months before he returns to the ring. Well, as long as he's back in a wrestling ring before too long, the wait'll be more than worth it!

- The latest issue of ESPN Magazine has a feature on "Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Regarding WWE, he told the publication, "WWE won't let most wrestlers perform piledrivers anymore. In TNA, we have a guy who does a flipping piledriver. That's how crazy we are." Hey, didn't Trevor Murdock do a Flipping Piledriver for a little while there? . .

- TNA Wrestling's set to invade the great white north for the holiday season, making its 1st-ever Canadian tour with 4 dates in December. Scheduled to appear are TNA Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Abyss, “Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Tyson Tomko, The Latin American Xchange, TNA X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, plus Canada’s own “Instant Classic” Christian Cage, Robert Roode, Ms. Brooks, “Showtime” Eric Young & more! Check to see how totally-far-away TNA'll be from me @ http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2007_/articles/*******609.php

- Despite Scott Hall’s appearance @ the iMPACT! tapings & his big match @ the TNA Turning Point PPV, he's yet to sign a contract with TNA. The 2 sides are working on coming to terms for a contract. If a deal's made, it won't be an exclusive deal, so Scott can continue to work his dates in Puerto Rico. Once Hall’s on-air run ends, he may become an agent & work backstage with wrestlers & critique their matches & promos. This is all just talk @ this point in time, but both sides are said to be in serious talks for Scott Hall’s on-air role & a possible backstage role.

HAUGHTY HOTTIES NEWS. . .
- Trish Stratus is opening up a huge yoga studio called "Stratusphere Yoga" in 2008. For more information on the studio, visit http://www.StratusphereYoga.com

- & speaking of how I just finished watching Royal Rumble 2005 on DVD, former WWE Diva Amy Weber now has a blog site @ http://blog.amyweber.net/

- Former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler's featured in the new "Dancing with the Stars" video game, which hit stores this past Tuesday on Nintendo Wii & PS2. The key characters in the game are Mario Lopez, Emmitt Smith & the former Miss Hancock. According to several early reviews, it’s 1 of the worst video games of the year. But it's about dancing, so make sure your opinion's appropriately tempered in that regard. . .

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENTS NEWS. . .
- "Wrestling Reality" (WR) is a 6 1/2 hour episode reality documentary series about the life of independent pro wrestlers on the road. Here are some episodes of "Wrestling Reality": http://www.greghemmings.com/wr/wrepisode1.wmv & http://www.greghemmings.com/wr/wrepisode2.wmv

- Former WWE star Rodney Mack came to http://www.ClubWWI.com for a 36-minute shoot with no topic too taboo or off-limits. Mack spoke about his entire career including: Racism in WWE, Why He's Not In TNA, The White Boy Challenge, Jobbing To Stevie Richards in Drag On Heat, The Junkyard Dog's Generosity, Why He's Not Wrestling In Japan, The Lies WWE Told Him, Being Released On The Same Day As His Wife. . . Twice, the Huge Error In His WIkipedia Entry & More. However, the subject he became most passionate about was the way he feels he & his wife, Jazz, have been blackballed by the wrestling industry. James asked about TNA & whether or not they'll join them. Actually, I believe they prefer either "'Afro-American'-balled" or "'caucasiannally-challenged'-balled". . . But if you wanna read more, go to http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2007_/articles/*******158.php

- Both of Wrestling Society X's fans {ouch, right in the feelings!} will be pleased to know that the 1st & only season was released on DVD this past Tuesday. The DVD features each show, as well as the never-aired finale & backstage commentary.

- NBC's "American Gladiators" will begin taping its 1st season the week after Thanksgiving. Hulk Hogan'll be hosting the show with Laila Ali. Daniel Puder may be appearing on the show. Indy wrestler Matt Cross was scheduled to do an appearance on the show, but they're going to be doing the tapings while he's on tour in Japan. Because of that, he had to pull out of his scheduled appearance. He was bummed about that & also about missing the chance to meet Hogan. But no problem, maybe he can still meet other athletic celebrities like Hawk, Nitro, Turbo, Siren, Sky, Ice & Storm. Oh wait, they're gonna need *new* Gladiators, aren't they. . ?

- Chris "Masters" Mordetzky will be on World Talk LIVE! tonight @ 6 PM Eastern Standard Time for 1 of his 1st shoot interviews since his WWE release. The show's hosted by Brett Cohen, 1 of the most popular radio hosts on the web. In this 1-on-1 interview, Chris'll discuss his time with WWE, his personal life, his upcoming appearances & his future plans. World Talk LIVE! takes live calls on every show & you can join World Talk LIVE! by calling (347) *******8 during the program. The show's broadcast over the BlogTalkRadio network & can be streamed live @ http://www.blogtalkradio.com/worldtalklive
