ryn_guy: The pool hall is a great equalizer. In the pool hall nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is, how much money you got in your pocket. Its about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move on a table like nobody had ever seen. I mean, hour after hour, rack after rack his shots just went in. The cue was apart of his arm and the balls had eyes. The thing that make his so good was, he thought he could never miss, I knew because that kid was me. When I was 12 I walked into a pool hall and picked up a cue and knew how to play. I guess for some people it was basketball or music but for me it was pool. I never wanted to be a hustler. I wanted to be the best. Professional. In the life of a pool junkie things don’t turn always turn out the way you want them to, although with perseverance, confidence and hard work any pool game worthy of talent is a game worth playing for.

ryn_guy: Its was too late. I had entered the event horizon. The point of no return. I tasted sweet freedom for last time, a Double bacon, melted cheddar oozing down the sides of a juice-dribbling patty, an egg splashing rivers of yolk and onions all sandwiched between two sugar-smacked doughnuts, soft and glistening with glaze. This burger had enough calories to give any old man a run for his money. Breathtaking. Its was the most delicious tasting grub I have ever had. I savored every bite. Moments later I would surrender the next eight months of my life to a living hell. My body would endure the sweet taste of salt water irrigated by the constant vocals of, “Hydrate!” while marching to a killing rhythm. There was no escape. Military school was fueled by one thing, discipline. The first two weeks of school I learned to live in my head as did others. When your miles away from home, secluded from the rest of the world, boredom leads to an over active imagination leaving you to adapt to the environment and stay out of trouble.

Feedback would be nice...
