ryn_guy: Its was too late. I had entered the event horizon. The point of no return. I tasted sweet freedom for last time, a Double bacon, melted cheddar oozing down the sides of a juice-dribbling patty, an egg splashing rivers of yolk and onions all sandwiched between two sugar-smacked doughnuts, soft and glistening with glaze. This burger had enough calories to give any old man a run for his money. Breathtaking. Its was the most delicious tasting grub I have ever had. I savored every bite. Moments later I would surrender the next eight months of my life to a living hell. My body would endure the sweet taste of salt water irrigated by the constant vocals of, “Hydrate!” while marching to a killing rhythm. There was no escape. Military school was fueled by one thing, discipline. The first two weeks of school I learned to live in my head as did others. When your miles away from home, secluded from the rest of the world, boredom leads to an over active imagination leaving you to adapt to the environment and stay out of trouble.
