found lamb: I lived in NYC from 1980 to 1990 and went to CBGB's a lot. I remember seeing a lot of great bands but the heroin and crack addicts dominated the place. This is how I feel about Punk in general. Thank God I lived through those days -

found lamb: I know The Smiths were post-Punk but I throw them in with Punk. Not a bad band better than most. Best thing that came out of Punk was Patti Smith and Tom Verlaine from Television who did half a dozen solo albums that are really masterpieces!
