A Soldier's Honor

People who give their lives
To make sure freedom survives
People who have to say bye
And not know if they will return alive
People who are on call twenty-four seven
Some think they will go to heaven
People who are out on the battle fields
Being shot at with no shields
Making sure you and I have a life
To be proud of, to live free
Many with families, again they wont see
To be sure what they believe in will stay
To keep evil out in the bay
Not to enter home land
So kids may play in the sand
With no fears of dieing
These people are soldiers
They fight for you and yours
To be free forever, and more
That's what a soldier is for
Freedom they will stand and fight
Till one day there are no more fears in sight
And only then will a soldier be remembered
