Hopes Beacon: ha!, I'll share mine with you 9 hours ago • Report 0 thumper196699: well alot didnt realize till recently too that cold zaps the charge on those batteries especially those that live in canada and upper areas that are close to canda and here in the us where its gets very cold , it was on the news here about it and how people are mad about that issue, so like i say , need to come up with something thats maybe a half and half , runs half on gas and half electric, that seems better to me Hopes Beacon: I noticed one of the newer models in some companies, do use gas and electric, course they are the new, expensive ones lol, this dude on yt living camping in his fusion i think, he used the charge when run outta gas, til he was able to get to the closest station.. That, I think, seems brilliant to be able to have both.. a decent back up plan uxorious_fool in reply to Hopes Beacon: Not trying to be "that guy" but hybrid (gas and electric) vehicles have been around a long long time. In the states, mainstream hybrid cars have been "popular" since at least the 90's (think Toyota Prius). However, it is totally true that more and more companies and models are jumping on the bandwagon.
