This Album showcases my neighbor’s little produce stand. She puts it out every year. It's really cool. Self serve. No fixed price for anything. Pay whatever you think is a reasonable price for whatever you take. I guess people are honest enough for this to work.

ƬЄЄƇЄღ: Nice shots Sits... there are several of these dotted all round the countryside in NZ - always has been. They are a fabulous way for people to sell their produce.. I have even seen pottery sold this way! Its must work well with little pilfering as they never seem to die out...

It's a smart little business. There's very little work involved (no more than what she would do to put the same produce on her own table), and almost no time (just replenish the produce once a day and collect the money. And I'm sure most people probably overpay.

In the couple years since these pictures were taken, she added a couple of small touches. There's now a handy little rack with paper bags in it, and a nice little box with a slot in the top for the deposit of payment.

She's got a pretty decent location, too. In this area, there are four roads that connect in such a way as to make a sort of circle, and many of the people around here (including me) use it as a sort of "track" for walking for exercise. So her produce stand has dozens of people walking by it, eying it, every day.
