After a conversation I had with Barnesy, I was curious and wondered how many of the zillions of products commonly available in American supermarkets were also available in other parts of the world. So I walked through a supermarket snapping pictures of various things, which I presented in this Album.

How many of these things are you familiar with?

I was here
I was here: I am familiar with all of them except the peanut butter. Never heard of it...but I do recall you talking about a specific peanut butter that you buy, is this it?...Hahaha, I put that up there in my head along with your deli roast beef preference and how it has to be sliced and stacked just so. The silly things I remember about people.

sheritra: Here in Canada all of those products are known...even in Germany, many of those products are sold, but they mostly have another name there

MultifariousEntity: I've never seen 'best foods' brand, rice-a-roni or grape-nuts cereal. I've seen Trix commercials but never seen it sold in any stores.

As Whimsical mentioned, I've raved about the peanut butter in the past, and I'll rave about it here and now. I've loved peanut butter always, and over the years, I tried every sort of peanut butter I could. Nothing I've ever found is better than the Laura Scudders pictured.

Here in the USA, the two big commercial brands are Jif, and Skippy (which I pictured). They both contain weird stuff, preservatives, stuff that makes the consistency even, etc. Laura Scudders is FAR superior. It contains nothing but ground peanuts and a little salt.

I've also gone to various health food and gourmet food stores over the years, and sampled various kinds of super expensive, organic ...

They don't come close to Laura Scudders. My theory is that it's the genetics of the peanuts they use. They have the right strain of peanuts. The tasty ones.
