StuckInTheSixties:

This Album is one of two collections of photos that were made over a period of six months or so of a vineyard of Chardonnay grapes. This vineyard happens to be located right where I repeatedly pass it by as I come and go from town. Although I’m posting this part first, it’s actually the second of the two collections. I’m posting it first so that in the arrangement on my Pictures page, it’ll be below the first part.

The other part of the collection, the first part, shows the development of the grapes throughout the growing season, from the first sprouting of leaves on the dormant vines to the grapes fully grown, hanging in big, fat clusters. This second shows the climax of that vineyard’s season, what it’s all about, the actual harvest of the grapes.

If you’re going to look at this Album, do yourself a favor and wait until both parts are completed, and look at them in order. It’ll make more sense to view it that way.

I was here: Do they grow the same variety of grapes in the same location, year after year? I'm just curious if one variety takes a different soil nutrients then others? We rotate our crops (soy, bean and wheat) for that reason.
