Lhasa– Mt.Everest--Mt.Kailash – Lake Manasarovar - Nepal Kathmandu 19 days

Day 1 arrive to Lhasa
Welcome to Tibet! Our English speaking tour guide (a Tibetan - in most cases) will meet you at the airport. Today you will go to the “hometown of Tibetan apron”. There you could learn how to make Pulu (a weaving wool fabric Tibetan cloth) by locals; you could have a try if you are interested in. And on the way to Lhasa, you will enjoy the spectacular scenery and the typical Tibetan villages. Stay at the hotel after arrival for adapting to the high attitude. It is helpful to take things easy for the first few days, and try to drink some water just and now.

Day 2 Be a Tibetan for one day (B)
Visit Potala Palace and Johkang temple and walk around the famous Barkor Street. And If it would be enough time: learn the process of how to make Tibetan joss stick, or Tibetan porcelain, or Thangka, etc. Or you could learn how Tibetans turn the yak dung into a good fuel, or how they gather in the harvest. You could join

Day 3 Lhasa / Drak Yerpa / Gandan Monastery / Lhasa (B)
Drak Yerpa, located on a mountain, is one of the religious holy land featuring strange rocks and mysterious caves. Gandan, just 40km north-east of Lhasa, was the first Gelugpa monastery. If you only have time for one monastery excursion outside Lhasa, Gandan with its stupendous views of the surrounding Kyi-Chu Valley and fascinating kora would probably be the best choice.

Day04 Lhasa-Gyantse, visit Yamdrok Lake and Palkor monastery. Stay overnight in Gyantse.

Day05 Gyantse-Shigatse, visit Tashilunpo monastery in Shigatse, Stay overnight in Shigatse.

Day08 Lhatse-Saga, a whole day's driving, about 300km. The army town of Saga(4600m) is the last town of any size on this route. Stay overnight in simple Guesthouse in Saga.

Day9 Saga-Paryang, Another day's driving(260km) will take us to Paryang in the heart of western Tibet, where the four great rivers of South Asia diverge from their glacial sources around Mount Kailash. During the rainy season, the roads to Paryang are likely to be washed out by floods, in which case we may need to drive the truck through a 30 cm(11.7 inches) deep stream. Stay overnight in simple Guesthouse in Paryang.

Day10 Paryang-Darchen, Darchen(4575 meters) is the starting and completion point for the general circuit of the sacred mountain. It is wise to spend at least a day here in preparation. Stay overnight in Guesthouse in Darchen.

Day15-16 Darchen-Tsada, The road to Thsada is terrible, and goes over some very high passes, taking a whole day. We will spend a day driving to Zhanda, a small town situated deep in a valley. The drive itself offers a breathtaking view of sand-rock formations shaping the deep valley. We will spend another day in the area to visit the ruins of the Guge Kingdom, which ruled western Tibet 300 years ago. Stay overnight in Guesthouse for 2 day.
